Tanna Farms Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2021Poor layout and no idea where to hit shots (can’t see)
Course was in decent shape for late October. Course layout is terrible and the par 3s are around 121-127yds from blue tees (too short IMO). Many holes you cannot see where to drive the ball or make a smart play on approach. Visibility of greens and fairways is really poor.

Beautiful course with many (I think 7) replica holes. Island green #10 is awesome! Excellent course for all skill levels with wide fairways and tight greens for challenging approach shots.

This past Saturday, I met a buddy here for a round of golf. Seeming that I live in Chicago Suburbs and he lives in the Champaign area, it seemed like a decent value and reasonable place to meet and play.
We made it through 6 holes in 2hrs and 20 mins before pulling the ripcord and walking off this course. Given nearly every group on the course seemed to be a foursome, we played up rather quickly. Both of us keep an average pace of play. By the second tee box, there were 2 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off...unacceptable. Each hole had a 15-20 minute wait to tee off. The starter sent us out 10 minutes later than our designated tee time and I didn't see a ranger on the course at all. When dropping the cart at the clubhouse, the starter said "I told you so" referring to the pace of play. His comment rubbed us the wrong way, as he's employed to get the groups underway on time.
The course is by no means a five star golf course. It needs a lot of work on the greens. The course is very flat, offering little/no elevated holes/tee boxes. There isn't much landscaping on the course, which leaves much to be desired. The "ponds" and "creeks" are more appropriately recognized as retention pond run-offs. There's not much nature appeal.
If given the opportunity to golf here, I recommend taking a pass. There are much better clubs in a 10 mile radius that offer more value.
