Berkshire Valley Golf Course
Played On 08/28/2015Great course, great conditions
Played for the first time and will add this to my rotation. I believe that this is better that any of the Crystal Springs courses including Ballyoween.
Farmstead Golf & Country Club - Valleyview/Lakeview Course
Played On 08/22/2015Surprised at the poor conditions
Based upon the reviews on Golfnow expected a better facility and course. From uneven teeboxes to spots where it was hard to determine if you were in the fairway or first cut overall condition was not great. The greens were disgraceful, does anybody fix ball marks anymore? In addition, one green was fast next was slow. no consistancy.
The Architects Golf Club
Played On 08/21/2015Had high expectations based upon ratings- disappointed though
Had high expectations based upon all the reviews and the concept of the course. However if you can hit a long ball the course wasn't anything special. Not a thinking mans course wide open fairways with a lot of cross over golfers from one fairway to the next. Not worth the trip from eastern NJ.
Ballyowen Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2015Overrated, so many other courses that are just as nice if not nicer for half the price. Slow Slow Slow
On a Thursday afternoon took 4:50 to play a round. Waited on every shot, multiple times multiple groups waiting on same tees. So many other courses where price is half the price and just as nice. Driving range in poor condition and every green had ball marks like crazy.
Neshanic Valley Golf Course - Meadow/Lake Course
Played On 05/22/2015Great layout wicked wind
Played here and enjoyed the layout, however the wind made this course either play easy or ridiculous. The staff was not overly helpful especially with the turn. Some how a 2hr front nine turned into 2:45 back nine.
Championship at Harbor Links Golf Course
Played On 05/09/20155:00 round with a 8:30 am tee time- enough said
Staff drives around scolding you for hitting out of an environment area but does nothing about group in front of you is a full hole behind pace. Other staff to busy yelling you not to chip around putting green when if they would just post a sign you wouldn't do it!!!!
Having played five other local courses this season so far this was in worst condition of all of them. Greens did not roll (how about a trim once or a while) no water coolers and no beverage cart, for $120 how about some amenities
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 03/01/2015Great conditon especially after 3 inches of rain the day before
Played this course on the morning after 3 inches of rain and the course dried very quick and was in great condition. However it was cart path only and the GPS would only say "cart path only" for the entire round. Makes it very hard to play a course for the first time when the how doesn't work and you are hitting some of your shots blind. Never saw a beverage cart or a ranger during a 3 hour and 15 minute round (7:30 am tee time).
The course is quirky, the par 3s are short not challenging.
Thank you for the positive comments about the course. The funds that were invested in the turf and layout in 2014 were well spent! Our apologies for the GPS units as the weather had played a little havoc with them and for the beverage cart. With your quick, early play, our beverage cart did not have a chance to catch you! They begin on the course at 10 AM.
