The Club at Emerald Hills
Played On 02/24/2018Interesting layout....on the decline
This is a difficult course with lots or water and undulating greens.
Walking through the locker room it is evident that this was once an upscale club. Unfortunately, while greens were fast, the tee boxes are in pretty poor shape. It just doesn't look like they are spending enough money on the maintenance of the course, which is unfortunate.
The greens fees are reasonable. It's just a shame, as this could be a terrific track.
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/23/2015Past it's prime
Played an afternoon during Christmas week. Course condition was only fair, many bare spots on the greens and fairways. Tee boxes were not well cared for. All needed mowing. I expected more from a Donald Ross layout. Course not well marked, no GPS on carts, very difficult to know yardages to hit having not been here before. For $35, on GolfNow, the value was ok, but just not a really enjoyable experience. We left after 9, too slow.
Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 04/11/2015Just ok
I played the Cypress Course. It's a fairly interesting layout, but the course has seen better days. The greens were in good condition, but the tee boxes and fairways were average to poor. Lots of bare spots. It just feels like a course where minimal money is spent on conditioning.
The Club at Emerald Hills
Played On 12/26/2014Very nice track
I've played at least a dozen public or semi private courses in the past year in South Florida and I think that Emerald Hills is possibly the nicest course that I've played here. its an interesting layout with a number of approaches over water. Most of the fairways are fairly wide, and the greens are fast and challenging. It is run much like a private club, which apparently it had been. Its pricier than most but can be a treat every once in a while for me.
