Played both courses at Heron Lakes before, but forgot how dingy the facilities have become. Mildew smell from the outdoor carpet, the club house is nothing more than a mobile trailer that is on its last leg, bathrooms were gross, and staff at the pro shop were seemingly inconvenienced by us at check-in. I can say that the course was in decent shape considering it is early March and we are just coming off of a few weeks of snow, greens were better than expected. Worst part of the course is the incredible amount of bird crap. 4 out of 5 balls will come to lie on feces, guaranteed.

For the price, the course is decent, but there are plenty of better courses/club houses/pro shop staffs in the Portland area for the same price. I won't be going back to Heron Lakes until they make some changes.
