East at Churchville Park Golf Course
Played On 07/08/2017Save your money and your time
Years ago, this course was well maintained and picturesque. Now it's a mess. Uncut areas, downed trees and foliage everywhere extremely high grass just off the fairways. It's not because this season has been wet and they can't get in to cut it's got to be either a lack of staff or they just don't care. Since the new management came in, it's gone downhill, if that's possible. Tindale did a horrible job and this new guy is worse. As long as the public keeps showing up and paying the place will be left in the terrible condition it's in. It's a shame. The Rochester area is golf rich when it comes to number of economically priced golf courses. Try some of the others. Deerfield, Durand Eastman (same management) Salmon Creek, Batavia CC, Parkview Fairways, Lakeshore, Farview, Timber Ridge.... I can keep going. Too bad about Churchville because the Pro there, Tom Bolduc is a great guy.

I played on Wednesday and the weather was clear and windy. The course was in nice shape. I was impressed with the pro shop staff. Barb was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to pair my playing partner and me with another twosome. We teed off right on time and the pace of play was excellent. The entire staff were courteous and friendly.
Very pleasant experience.
The Monroe County Parks Department is responsible for maintenance at all three county courses. Black creek and Lake Ontario have had an awful effect on the conditions at both Churchville and Durand. Hopefully with this dry spell the mowers can get caught up.
