Shiloh Springs Golf Club
Played On 06/16/2020Ehhh. Decent for the money.
Okay, so I play this course quite a bit. The only reason being its proximity to my home, and that it's relatively inexpensive. This course isn't great. The greens are in really good condition, albeit a bit shaggy at times. Some of the greens are large and have massive slopes. Putting can be very challenging here. The fairways are in decent condition. There are a few holes where the summer heat has really cooked the grass. Overall, not terrible fairways. The tee boxes, however...not good. Lots of them are a bit muddy or uneven and one of them is almost completely sand. There are tons of trees so parts of the course can be really tight and difficult. However, it's decent for the cost. Now on to the staff. They truly seem friendly. I"ve never had an issue with anyone's attitude. However, they sometimes don't tell you things that are useful to know. I booked a tee time on a Wednesday afternoon through GolfNow and showed up to the course and they said nothing to me. Turns out, the entire back nine was closed for some sort of women's league. I didn't know, and wouldn't have played the course if I knew that. (I like the back nine better) Anyways if you can get a round here for like $30, go for it. If you're paying $45 or more....maybe find another course.
