Course has an interesting layout, and the greens are good. The pin placements bordered on ridiculous, making it tougher than it should have been. Pace of play was great. The tee boxes and fairways need rain and care.

Perfect day weatherwise, and they didn't cram us on the course, so pace of play was pretty good. This course has a nice variety of holes, with more water than I remembered. The greens are very good, they would be nasty if they were super fast, lots of undulation in them. Lots of tight lies in the fairways and near the greens, but that is normal this time of year. We will go back soon.

This has always been a great track, condition was what always held it back, but no longer. Course is pristeen, only complaint was we had trouble making putts. They are finally selling lots and houses, and some real beauties are being constructed. Hopefully they will keep the pricing reasonable, because it's a long drive from anywhere. We'll be back, just hoping they keep the costs reasonable for the trip.

We usually play around 6,000 yds, but the starter was adamant we should play the whites at 5,700. He was right! Virtually every hole has a bunker with a high face in front of the green. There is water everywhere. There's a 385 yd par 5 that my partner and I both double bogeyed! Although it was 5,700 yds, there were 3 par 4s over 375! Fairways and greens were both in good condition, t-boxes ok. If you like to run the ball up onto the greens, you won't like this course, but I recommend an extra club on your approaches to avoid burying balls in the face of the bunker. We liked it other than the spritzing rain all day, but we'll be back soon.

Reviews have always been mediocre on this course, but recently had gotten much better so we checked it out. Check-in process was odd (had to wait for some unknown reason), but once we got on the course, we liked it. Greens are good, bunkers are good but no rakes for some reason, carts were very good. Prepare to wait on the second hole, a par 3 over water, but after that pace of play was good. Fortunately we played with someone who knew the course, at times it was difficult to tell where you should be going. New owner has definitely put some big money in, and it should get even better. Bonus, you can see some intense water skiing while you're there. Give this a try, I think you'll enjoy it.

Not sure what has happened here, maybe a freeze damaged the greens, but they were way below par, very little grass in many places, causing bumpy putts and inconsistent speeds. These are tough greens to putt when they are good due to the slopes, it was really difficult the way they are now. The rest of the course was fine, no other issues that I saw. Hopefully they can get the greens back quickly as I always enjoy this layout.

The course was very wet from recent rain, cart path only, so that detracted from things, but I was very impressed with the condition of the course. Zoysia greens, which I don't think I've ever played before, were really nice, the superintendent is doing a great job with these. Interesting holes, lots of woods and water if you don't keep it straight but pretty forgiving overall. If you haven't played here, give it a try, I think you'll like it.

$25 to play on Sunday morning! Greens always seem to be good here. Don't play it enough to have a favorite 9, but there are 4 of them and they are all very playable with some tough holes thrown into the mix. Did not have hot meals for lunch on a Sunday, that was disappointing, but enjoyed everything else.

I've played here a few times over the last 25 years and conditions were often mediocre. Whoever is in charge of the greens is doing a good job. They are hard to read because of all the elevation changes, and you are wise to factor that in on your approach as several greens go right to left or left to right because of it, but they rolled true. Only complaint would be that either whoever cut the holes left some ragged edges or they were damaged by earlier players. Nice layout, nothing stupid, you just need to learn the greens. If you haven't tried it recently, you should.

Played on a Monday morning at 9:44, no one in front of us or behind us, we had the course to ourselves. Condition was excellent as always. My only gripe about this course is that their are two stupid holes on the back. One is a par four really sharp dogleg left that to hit driver you have to go over a very tall oak tree that is too close to the t-box. The second is a par 3 that you literally have to go thru an oak tree to get to the pin on the right side of the green. The oaks on both holes either have to be removed or dramatically trimmed back. Otherwise a very fair but demanding course that is always in great shape.

This was my second time on this course, and I was amazed at how good the greens were! Kudos to the Superintendent, he should give classes to the other Sups in the area because he's got his greens perfect. Course is pretty wide open, although some in my foursome found a lot of shade anyway. My tip to first timers - on 18, you have to drive the ball left, the turn of the dogleg right is further than it looks, and what looked like good drives off the tee were blocked by trees because they were too far right and not long enough. If you haven't played here, well worth the trip.

There are a lot of doglegs, with a few blind t-shots. Rough is very bare, fairways ok, greens were very good and the downhill putts could get away from you, which caused me to be very tentative on the greens. I liked it, with more grass in the rough and fairways, should be really good this summer.

Not a fancy place, and no liquor license, but this course was well worth the money for us. There are some stupid holes, I have no idea how to play the par 5 10th hole, it was one of three holes where I drove it in the fairway and had to hit a 2-iron under the tree in front of me! The greens are very good, with some tricky slopes. The fairways are tiny, people who spray the ball will struggle. Interesting layout, with a lot of doglegs, it just needs a little TLC around the edges of the course. There is construction of houses going on, but it didn't interfere with our play. Play it now while the price is right, if they build all the houses planned, prices will jump way up!

Played here 25 years ago or so, and all I could remember was very elevated greens that were hard to hit. My memory is very good, seemingly every green is highly elevated, and shots that are short or to the side roll way down so that you have to flop your chips way up in the air or they won't stay on the VERY TINY GREENS! Greens were very good except one, with some diabolical pin placements. This is not a good course for bad golfers because they will go crazy around the greens and take forever,, but it's a very good course for those with skills who want a steep challenge (pun intended).

I've wanted to play this course for years, finally got around to it and sorry it took me so long. Course was in better condition than expected, although some of the bunkers could use more sand. Greens look really slick but not quite as fast as you think. Quarry holes on the back are spectacular, although expect slow play along that stretch. Course is tighter than it looks, doesn't take much to end up with trees in your way. For around $40 at this time of year, a great value. If you haven't played this, you should.

I have played this course before several times and it was always superb. Today it was very good, but not as impressive as I wanted for the people I brought there. Fairways sparse in spots and greens, although they rolled ok, just not as great as I've seen here previously. Always a good value here, just not quite as spectacular as before.

I found this course on a top ten underpublicized great courses in Florida, and it did not disappoint Drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there and I feel it was worth the trip. Not as hilly as I was led to believe, but some nice elevation changes. The greens were very tricky and quick by my standards, although we were told they are usually quicker, which would not be good. I'm glad I played it and you should check it out if you haven't.

I have played this course many times over the last 20 years, always like the layout but the conditions were hit and miss. Well they now have this course in excellent shape, and if you've never played here, you should.

Google maps doesn't lead you to the entrance, so give yourself a couple minutes lead time to this course. We breezed around in 3 hours 30 minutes which was surprising because it seemed very busy. The greens are very nice, and other than a couple rough t-boxes, the condition overall is good. There are some nice elevation changes here, and an interesting layout, I was impressed.

Nothing fancy here, but a nicely laid out course with many elevation changes and very nice greens. Holes are often challenging due to the pin placements and the difficulty of getting the ball close on your approach. The greens make the course worthwhile, I recommend you try it.
