LBI National Golf & Resort
Played On 06/10/2022Exceeded Expectations
Could not believe how great the course conditions were for this course being closed for two years. Tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens were all in great shape. Sand traps could use fresh sand which I heard was being worked on when there in June 2022. The greens were running a bit slow but they were rolling them while there so they'll be fast in no time. Throw in a lot of spring rain to make the greens wet which doesn't help. As of June 2022 there was no beverage cart or bars open. We brought our own coolers and had no problem. All in all it was a surprisingly great experience here. Highly recommend heading back and playing this course again.
Neshanic Valley Golf Course - Meadow/Lake Course
Played On 06/10/2019EXCELLENT FACILITY
This is an excellent facility to play at. Everything from the practice facility, to the clubhouse is top notch. Course conditions were great. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, greens were all A+. Highly recommend playing this course.
Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course
Played On 06/04/2019Course Needs Improvement
I've been playing Flanders for many years now. Over the past 5 years or so the course has slowly slipped from a premier facility to average at best. Like to play the white to blue course. You notice on the first hole that the fairway is sunken in from past under ground work. Causes many sunken/uneven lies. Drainage needs work as well. Tee boxes, fairways and rough need work. Greens and sand traps are in great shape. Still a good place to play but investments needed in restoration of tee boxes, fairways and rough before the ratings continue to slip.
Vineyard National Golf Course
Played On 05/21/2019Average Golf Course that has Big Potential
Played here May 2019. The experience here is average. Tee boxes are in good condition, fairways in good condition, rough in average condition (could be grown higher), bunkers in poor condition, greens in below average shape for this time of year. The bunkers at this course have been in poor condition for years now. Little progress has been made. Drainage and new sand needed in all traps. Greens were aerated 3 weeks prior to my visit. Greens should have been completely healed with all the rain we've had since the aeration. This course has the potential to be top in the Atlantic City area if they improve the bunkers and green conditions. The amenities at the course also need improvement. Updated golf clubhouse, new food and drink concession stand on course and beverage cart are needed. Views are great here of the vineyard and layout of course is great but updates are needed here.
Great Gorge Golf Club - Lake/Quarry Course
Played On 07/29/2018Good Conditions on Tee Boxes, Fairways & Greens
Good quality conditions on the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Rough was low and a non factor. The cart paths are horrible. Much of the course have the pavement paths and they are in terrible condition. Management needs to either repave these paths or make them all stone. Pace of play was great. Fix the cart paths and this place will be back to pristine condition all around.
