Well layed out course and very picturesque. Shot selection was premium. Never a level spot on the course or greens. Greens were shaggy, bumpy and of variable speeds. This needs to be corrected.

Club house asst pro was less than congenial checking us in. Seemed irritated that we were coming to play his course.
No rangers on the course, with the back nine being very slow. Waits up to fifteen minutes on each tee box. They used to pass out fruit and encourage all to keep up a fair pace with their friendly comments.
Refreshment carts had a limited appearance. Once per nine.
I guess when you raise your rates from under 200$/round to 280$/round, you get less amenities and slower play.

Off fairway grass is poor. It is basically dirt with a small degree of dead grass coverage. I know that this is by design, but it is very difficult to play from. Essentially a penalty or a fair shot at best every time I played from it. I don’t think that I’ll be returning here. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Just don’t miss them by a foot or more

Pro shop staff member not friendly or helpful at all.
No snack shop available.

This course loves to charge a premium fee, but doesn’t provide the amenities that should go along with that fee. No rangers ever were seen, thus the pace of play was terrible. We had three foursomes to a hole from the 8th hole on!! A beverage cart was only seen once. Then we called to ask about getting someone out on the back nine. Terrible service in all aspects. There are lots of courses in Palm Desert area-avoid this one and its hefty price.

Fantastic golf course! Great views and great lay out. Well worth the half hour drive from downtown.
