Ok for now

Played later in the day had a 1:12 tee time. Course was crowded, but pace of play was decent. Greens are ok, and would be better if people would fix their ball marks. Fairways are a little thin and the ball will run out quite a bit. Bunkers were in excellent shape although it seems like some people don't know that you are supposed to rake a bunker when you are finished playing out of them. That said, the price was fair at this time. (we paid around $33.00 through Golf Now) When the rates jump next month, that will not be the case.

Some very challenging holes

Course is in great shape, in spite of the fact that many golfers do not fill in/replace divots, rake bunkers or fix ball marks. Is this laziness, ignorance or both? Wish the course would take a more proactive approach on this.
Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is some of the bunkers were in pretty bad shape, but I find this to be the norm at all the area courses. This is too bad as we pay some of the highest green fees in the country. That said, Broad Run is a great little 9 hole course and if you play it from the tips can be very, very interesting. I think #5 is one of the best par 4's in all of no. Va.

Course is unique

Love this course, lots of variety and elevation changes. Played on a Sunday and the pace was very slow, with a wait on every shot. Too bad they don't use a marshal to speed up play. Course condition was good, some of the tee boxes were fair. Too bad people don't fix ball marks, rake traps or sand/replace divots. Are they lazy, ignorant, or both? In that regard I would love to see the course take a more proactive approach on how the above is handled.

Love this course

Great layout, with some interesting holes. If not for the aerated greens it would have rated excellent across the board. And to their credit they did give a reduced rate because of the aeration.

nice layout

For the end of November the course condition is ok. The fairways had just been punched and it would be nice if they posted this info. somewhere. Bull Run is one of those courses that never discloses such info. Had hoped that under the new regine the sand traps would have been rehabbed. but many are still in sad shape. Not to mention the puddles in some traps...how hard is it to pump out some water? In fairness, I paid 35 bucks to play which is what it should cost at this time of year in the condtion that it is in.
