Except for the drizzle and cold temps what a beautiful course. five par 5's and five par 3's is unusual but works here. worth the ride, 40 minutes from the burbs

First we got the senior rate for $40, two of us were seniors the other two were not still got the rate. No one asked for ID. Two days earlier it rained, course decided to make it Cart Path Only. Only one hole out of 18 was the fairway wet. The rest could of handled a 90 degree. The workers were on the fairway with heavier carts than ours. The course is short but what makes it difficult are the undulating greens. Up and down the ball rolls. Lag putting is at a premium.

How does a course that charges upwards of $85 to play NOT have GPS on the carts. This would speed up play and also help all golfers realize the full layout of the hole and distances.

Hole markers would be beneficial on all holes. Hole #9 needs a sign to advise distance to the water. Playing from the white tee box it should be a layup to the water.
None of the carts were equipped with divot repair!
Greens were in good shape for so early in the season and are very tricky to putt on.

course was in decent shape...lots of ball marks on greens (seems to be the norm today)...sand traps were rock hard...might want to turn the sand over once in awhile

We hooked up with another two some; the course meanders through a neighborhood; the greens are well bunkered and the approach shots require accuracy.
Nice range and putting green to warm up before tee off. For $40 a real value

booked as a member for the day which included golf cart and lunch after round....thought we would get a hot dog or sandwich...anything off the menu!!!...steak sandwich, philly cheesesteak, reuben, WOW! Round was great, course was located 5 miles form Madiera Beach where we were staying....golf buddies never even knew this place existed in the 10+ years they have been coming down here...definately will be back

The Island course had no rakes in any of the bunkers..the sand was not turned over...The Highland had rakes...both courses had aerated greens...never a good thing. I have played here before under better conditions...I will play again when the course is in full swing

Foxford is a great track that could be outstanding if people would fix their ball marks. This is the problem with many of the public park district courses. People just don't care.

I played this course 7 years ago when it changed from Thunderbird to Makray. I am so sorry it took so long to come back. From the super friendly staff to the beautiful course, this is a track you need to play. The GPS system is the most functional and easy to use and you need to use it on this course. Many sand traps and water where knowing the distance to them and to carry them aided in the experience.
The greens are immaculate and were about 11-12 on the stimp meter. Planning on playing there again real soon.
