Our last game on Florida before we return to the UK. We are so pleased we chose Deer Island from all the courses we played in the past few weeks. It's clearly very popular and you can see why. A great layout a tough but fair test if you hit the ball straight, stunning wild life. Plenty of grass on the fairways but the greens were a little slow after being sanded. Completed our round in 4 hours.
Very friendly staff - book that trip to Scotland - and all in all great value for the bucks.

Very enjoyable round with Gerald and John from Ontario. We were round in under 4 hours. Course in good condition but we all found the greens difficult to read. Some very difficult pin positions. A few years since we played here but hopefully we will return. Great to see so much wildlife on the course.

Excellent welcome. Greens quick and fairly true. Played in about 4 hours considering we had to walk in. One of my playing partners was having a moan about some of the fairways and the lack of grass. I reminded him it’s winter golf.

Despite being paired up with a guy who had been playing for just a year and his wife playing her first 18 holes on a 'big' course we had great fun and round in less than 4 hours. Very good layout and the greens rolled well. We will be back - good value..

We were paired up with 2 lovely guys from Toronto. We played ready golf and completed our 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. The course was in great condition but the greens were not the quickest we have played this holiday. We all had the odd 3 putt as we failed to get the ball to the hole. Friendly staff, good welcome and great practice facilities.. We hope to be back.

We love this course our 2nd time here this trip. We accept that when we book as a 2ball it is pot luck who we are paired up with. Two lovely guys one of whom struggled to play off the whites and should have been off the yellows and even the reds.
They insisted on completing the holes even though they couldn’t score..
One of the guys had his favourite club with him his ball retriever. At every opportunity he was fishing for balls. We played ready golf and pushed them hard all the way. Frustrating to sit in the cart waiting for them to catch up.
Surprised to complete the round in 4 hours but didn’t see the group in front after the first hole.
As I said 2 lovely guys and great company but it certainly affected our game.

Coming from Scotland the land of the links courses I was interested to see how the course was laid out and played. Not a true links course but the design and set up was very good. A good test of golf with very quick and difficult to read greens. Pace of play for the front 9 was good but it stalled in the back 9 with 3 groups on one par 3. Friendly staff and a very good welcome.

First time back at KR since before COVID. The course was in very good condition but the greens were a tad slow. Pace of play was good and we were round in 4 hours. Paired up with 2 great guys. Course not long but the stiff breeze and greens made it a good test. Friendly staff and a good welcome.

Friendly staff but no food available as the kitchen was closed.
Have re booked a 2nd round.

We last played Deer Island 6 years ago but have not returned to Florida from the UK because of the pandemic. A great welcome and we were lucky enough to be paired up with a couple from Wisconsin. We played ready golf and got round in 4 hours. Plenty of grass on the fairways and the greens were very good. A good test of golf. Only downside was the kitchen closed early.. Hope to get back before we return home.

A very enjoyable day..The first time we had played a course where we had to park one side of a river and take our clubs and shoes accross a bridge. Very friendly welcome from the Secretary and staff. Dont judge the course on the first 3 holes. Once we played away from the club house on hole 4 the course came into its own. Not long but a good test of golf and some very good holes. Great views of the coast and sea. Hopefully we will get back before too long for another round. Great value.

We were not expecting to park the other side if the river Ugie but after a short walk over the bridge and up the hill we were met by the secretary and given a great welcome. Dont judge the course by the first 3 holes. Once you get away from the clubhouse at hole 4 the course opens up and with the wind blowing it was a good test. The course is not long but there were some great holes and the wind was gusting up to 40mph. Great views over the bay and a good finishing par 5 down to the club house. We completed 18 holes in 2 and 3/4 hours. Just a drink afterwards in the bar with friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. We will definately return.

The course was just coming out of its winter slumbers and we did not see it at its best. Some temporary tees and greens but generally the course was in good condition and dry underfoot. Would love to play later in the year. Great welcome and friendly staff and members.

A great welcome in the pro shop and in the clubhouse. A cool windy day and not having played the course before we struggled at times to get the right line off the tee.
We followed 2 members so this helped but at the 9th the pace of play slowed to a crawl as we caught up the last 4 ball in the ladies friendly match, ( We had been warned in the pro shop about the match and had delayed our start because of this).
The final 9 holes was played at a snail's pace but it gave us the opportunity to enjoy the stunning views.
A great welcome back in the clubhouse and a superb pint of bitter.

Having played holiday golf in the area for the last 15 years this course must have fallen off my radar.
A great welcome from Sid in the Pro shop who took time out to talk us round the course. Whilst not overly long the greens and some of the par 3s made me struggle to my 12 handicap although my wife returned a great score. A thoroughly enjoyable day and we took 3 hours to play the 18 holes.
Great views and the weather made the day all the more enjoyable. A very enjoyable snack and drink in the clubhouse served by friendly staff at great prices.
All in all a very enjoyable day and we will be back to enjoy the hospitality and the course.

Unfortunately it was a wet day and following a texas scramble did not help the pace of play. However the staff explained that we were following an organised event and the starter and marshalls did their best to keep the groups in front moving particularly as some appeared not to be regular golfers. In particular John was very attentive and came back several times to make sure we were aware of the slow play ahead. My wife and I enjoyed the challenge and we will return to play the course again as we did not see it at its best. In good condition despite the overnight rain with tricky undulating greens.

Well designed course and I loved the fact I had to use every club in my bag. Pace of play was excellent and we were round in just over 3 1/2 hours. Greens in excellent shape. Visiting from the UK but we will be back next year.

From the moment we arrived at Juliette Falls we realised that we were in for a great day. Paired up with a couple from Iowa who had played the course before so they could tell us where to go. The greens were so quick and right up there with the best we have played in Florida this year. Took us around 4 hours to play on a very busy day. We were so impressed we immediately booked another round despite the 192 mile round trip.
