The only flaw I can note is that there are some tree problems on two of the tee boxes. for people who play a draw the trees prevent starting a ball to the right for right handers. Simple problem to correct since the trees are in hazard areas. The rest of the course was a very pleasant round. The greens are very quick and in very good condition. Good value overall.

The course was quite enjoyable on a Monday.Played in 3hours 15 minutes. The greens rolled very nice.The bunkers also play quite nicely.

The golf course at Bradenton Country Club is a Donald Ross design from the late 1920s. It was renovated in 1999 by Ron Garl and the irrigation system upgraded.The course was in excellent condition.It does require some shot-making skills to score well but it is a totally fair golf course. It was a pleasure to play.

It was unusually cold the day I played.The course was in excellent condition.The course is challenging but fair. The course plays longer than the posted yardage since some of the holes are uphill. It is an enjoyable golf course. I will return.

A return to the facilty by the son of the owner has produced predictable results. Weeds infest the fairways and the landing area on 18 is mostly dirt. Some bunkers are not maintained at all.Not so honorable son does not care,he has stated such,and that a jewel in the area is being run down and that play will suffer as a result.The course needs new ownership by someone who has a sense of pride and honors the game rather than greed for more money from golfers. Truly worth only $35 to play,

The course is beautifully maintained.It is not a long course. The green had be top dressed and, as such, not mowed and pretty slow. But, once we have some rain and the dressing settles in greens should be quite good.Fun course to play.

Overall,the course is fun to play.I have played 3 times the past 2 weeks.Pin positions have not changed.This is possibly due to the a significant loss of grass on many of the greens.Treatments are needed to fix the problem.

I played a 1PM hot day. I was able to get a round finished in 2.5 hours.The fairways are all wuite good. Some of the greens have a fungus problem.All told it was a fun place to play.

Basically, the South course is in OK condition, not pristine as it was for a few years.The bunkers are in need of repair, an ongoing issue for the past 10 years.Sand is highly variable with many washouts and collapsed edges.The excuse that many are flashed does not hold up having played Southern Dunes recently.That course has flashed bunkers and they are immaculate.There were no washouts and the edges were neatly trimmed.The greens at LJ were not bad for summer greens.I think it is fair to say the course looks "tired" after 19 years of play.This is largely due to owners who think mediocre is good.Their apparent approach is to have more golfers at a cheap rate rather than a premium rate with less traffic.The day rate is less of what Southern Dunes charges.Southern Dunes is immaculate and Lake Jovita is not, which is a shame.It is clear why the PGA Tour stopped using LJ as a Q-school site.But,$35 a person is not a bad rate on a Monday when few people are on the course.

Fairways were goox.We knew the greens were punched.

We picked a good time to play at a reasonable rate.The fairways on the north course were good.The greens were also good.Around the greens still has a significant amount of various weeds that interfere with play. The bunkers are no better or worse than usual.The bunker edges look uneven and some are still in washout mode from the hurricane rain 8 months ago.The faded green color of the grasses differs from several other courses I have played recently.Maintenance apparently has limitations on what can be spent on two fine golf courses worthy of better upkeep.If the owners are not spending 29% of revenue on maintenance they are short changing what could be among the best facilities in Florida.

Juliette Falls is a nice layout and player friendly. It is challenging enough for most golfers.The fairways are nice with overseed.
The greens are lush and run a bit slow for my taste. My wife loved the speed,or lack of.It might be on an alternate day mowing cycle, because I could feel noticeable tips on the greens.The pace will probably vary depending upon who one plays behind. A slow group of super seniors let us through on the 7th hole mercifully.Good value through Golf Now.

Our group of 4 agreed this is a top notch facility.The course was challenging and fun to play. The pace was quite good and the GPS screen in the cart was very helpful. It might be the best course in the area.
