I use to play this course often when it was the old Bobby Jones golf course with the American
golf course and the British golf course. While it wasn't the best course it was somewhat challenging and affordable. I only played nine holes and was not impressed. The people who reconfigured this new golf course came in and took out allot of the trees , bulldozed all the buildings and put in more sand traps. They erased the heart of this course and took away all the challenges while making it less affordable.The Sarasota politicians messed this course up big time. Thanks for nothing.
The putting green is a joke and the course is like playing in a cow pasture. The price to play is doubled. In short there are alot of nicer golf courses to play and some for less money.

Over the years I have played this course many times and for an average golfer like me I find it to be very challenging. I do believe that the people who run this course are doing the best they can with all the changes. Give this course six months to a year and it will return to a great course as it once was.

last 6 years and watched how it has come along. Tony has done a great job of fixing up
the course and has made many improvements.
I have never seen this course in excellent shape until my most recent round. The pace of play was slow.

You can not drive on the fairway at this time due to over seeding. I think that they waited too long to do this. The course is looking better and the greens are in great shape. Fairways need more work. I believe in about three weeks everything will come together. The club house use to look great but now looks terrible.

I like this course because the course is more open than other courses and the greens are good.

I have played this course many times over the last six years and have enjoyed it. Right after the new owners took over the course about 2 years ago things were looking allot better.I have played this course twice this year and was shocked to see the course in disrepair. The club house has all but shut down and the tee boxes needed serious repair. THe greens on most of the course looked decent, but some needed some serious attention. When I talked to one of the outside workers ther he said that they were going to wait until November to overseed. That seems a little late to me.

The course was in good condition but very wet due to rain the day I played. They are in the process of replacing some of the worst cart path cement. The greens were in super shape and the course is fun to play. Not a hard course.

I love playing this course. It is fun to play and is challenging. I would suggest that ball placement is important on this course. The weather was hot but there was a nice breeze.The nice thing is that there are several places to get ice and water.

The fairways were nice and green and the tee boxes were in good condition.Hole number 4 was under some sort of reconstruction and very hard to play. On hole number 5 they took out some of the big sand trap and put in some new sod. Great fix! There was no water by the restroom and the bathrooms were a wreck and extremely dirty. No soap and no hand towels.
The men's restroom has been out of service for many months and then all of a sudden it is fixed and open. Other than the afore mentioned I really this course.

The course was in great shape and fun to play. Pace of play was slow. Great value for the money.

I like playing this course. It has a great layout and
it’s in pretty good shape compared to other courses. Tee boxes and the greens are pretty good shape. Staff has always been very nice and helpful.

Tee boxes are all sand and the greens are spotted with weeds. Seems like the new owner who bought this course about a year ago just doesn’t care anymore. Great staff.

Fairways were in good shape, tee boxes were poor and the greens were in good condition.

This course never seems to get any better. Staffing was poor, water coolers broken ,very poor greens and fairways. They must be taking any profits and using them to build new buildings. The only good thing that I can say is that it was not crowded like all the other courses around.

The fairways were in good shape but the greens were well used and had lots of ball marks.

I have always liked this course until about 3 months ago. It was in terrible shape. I guess that the course was just getting ready for the northers to come down. The course was in great shape and the addition of brand new carts made it even better.

The first time that I played Dubsdread was in 1973 and the course has been updated since then. I really enjoyed the course and being able to play there again. I would strongly suggest that you book dinner at the Tap Room after playing. Great service and great food. A little known gem in Orlando.

Over the years I have played the Highlands, in fact it was the first course I played when I moved here in 2016. When I checked in at the desk this most disinterested older gentleman acted as if he couldn't be bothered. Luckily I read a sign on the counter that everyone was to tee off on the 10 th tee. Of course the gentleman checking me in never mentioned that or the fact that the front 9 was closed. Needless to say I was not happy. They spent a lot of money was spent on the big course The Meadows I guess to keep their members happy that the lacked the funds to do anything to the Highlands yet the keep their rates high. The greens were terrible and tee boxes the same. I will not play here again!

I have played this course many times and I think it is in the best shape than I ever have seen it, We got to the course just as they were unloading the new carts and got to use one. Nice carts and a needed upgrade.
The greens were in great shape but slow.

Fairways and greens are starting to come along and should get better with time.
