The Club at Emerald Hills
Played On 11/03/2018Great course, but...
Played on a Saturday PM- I was in the first group out after a tournament, and we were behind the last tourney group, following behind them for the front nine- It was a best ball format, the group were clearly clueless. Example: I’ve never seen a cart parked on a green before. Nuff said.
Close to 3 hours later, we had the back and moved along well.
That aside, the course itself is a real find. Fairways in very good shape. The greens other than a few spots here an there, good , consistent one to the next, although to my liking a bit slow. The tee boxes are something of an anomaly- chewed up, rough, not fairway grass but rough. I don’t know if that makes a difference- I use a tee for all tee shots, so I didn’t care. The staff were/are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The course overall is a challenging layout, in many different ways, but that is what makes it interesting and a place I look forward to playing again. I’m what my 2 index son calls a ’beater’- 20 handicap, so take all the above in that context. I dunked about 4 balls as did the rest of the group I was with. Just another cost of doing business
