Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course
Played On 07/09/2020Championship caliber still
Course was in excellent condition, could play The Houston Open now and would be a tough go. Greens were well manicured and rolled true. Bunkers could have used a little bit of touch but with current environment it’s still pretty good. Driving range was in good shape and staff were all very friendly. The “Tourn” was closed when we tried to get some drinks but the course provides some bottle water in the cooler on the cart.
Wildcat Golf Club - The Highlands
Played On 07/07/2018Nice Course, Challenging Layout
Course was in good condition, even after a day of rain. The greens were soft and rolled true. Some tee boxes could use some TLC. Pace of play was rough, almost 5 hours but to be somewhat expected when trying to beat the heat in the middle of summer.
Southwyck Golf Club
Played On 06/16/2018Nice course, good value
Course condition was good. A few rough spots on some greens, but overall was very playable. Tee boxes weren’t chewed up and fairways were kept up well.
Clear Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/02/2018Good Value course
Course was in good condition. Greens had some spots that could use some work, but not bad for a course that never really closes.
Sienna Plantation Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2016Good Value
Course was in great condition. Greens were firm and fast. Staff was friendly. I was part of a twosome behind a foursome, so pace of play was a little slow, but not unbearable. Would recommend this course to anyone.
Tour 18 Houston
Played On 08/22/2015Good Test
Tour 18 is a good test of all components of golf game. Some small greens that place accuracy on approach and the rough will test short game.
