Heatherwood Hills Country Club
Played On 03/11/2022Days are numbered
Heatherwood is a very difficult golf course. The course needs much TLC but I don’t think they have the money to do it. I’ll play it again if I can get a Hot Deal, but it’s not worth it otherwise.
Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley
Played On 11/23/2021Great Course - Slow Play
Really enjoyed the course. Would have enjoyed it more if there weren't some knuckleheads somewhere in front of us holding everyone up.

Painted Desert Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2021Good Course - needs some TLC
Overall I liked the course. The course was in very good shape. Playing out of the desert is tough!!! Cart paths & sand traps need some love.

Played On 11/16/2019Favorite course in Alabama
Farm Links is an incredible golf course. Pro’s: fantastic layout, scenic, peaceful. Con’s: the day we played it was cart path only, greens had just been aerated so they were very sandy. I did get a discounted rate b/c of the aeration. Normally, this course is more expensive than I want to pay. The course doesn’t seem to drain very well. Bottom line, Farm Links is amazing, but normally too steep for me.
Eagle Nest Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2019Pleasant Surprise
Greens were in great shape. Fairways/rough also in really good shape. Bunkers needed some attention. One major complaint is that the scorecard didn't match the Yardages on the Signs by the TeeBoxes. There were no sprinkler head yardages on the course, so on a Par 3 you just had to guess if you didn't have a range finder (I don't). The "Perch" Tees at over 8000 yards was a pretty cool gimmick. We didn't play from there, of course. We enjoyed the course very much.
Gulf Links Golf Center
Played On 08/31/2019Short & Narrow
Gulf Links Golf Course is nothing special, but there's nothing wrong with it either. I went out by myself on Labor Day Weekend to get in some practice for an upcoming golf trip. It served it's purpose. The course is very short (par 64, I think). It is narrow, though, so be prepared to lose a few golf balls. The greens were inconsistent, but playable. All-in-all, I enjoyed my rounds at this course (I ended up playing 54 holes that day).
Lake Jonesco Golf Course
Played On 04/20/2019You get what you pay for
This course is on the pitiful side. But...it is clear that they are putting some money into the course to improve it. I just like to have a decent place to golf the balll around that is not too crowded and this course was exactly that. No frills. Just a simple muney.
Heatherwood Hills Country Club
Played On 03/30/2018Great greens, Fairways need grass
I enjoyed the course. Most people will hate it. The course is very unforgiving. The fairways are narrow and don't have a lot of grass on them right now. If you miss the fairway/green by even a little, you probably won't find your ball. And if you do, you won't be able to hit it. Most greens are elevated and protected by bunkers. I'd say it's a course worth playing once if you like a good challenge. If you prefer wide fairways and greens where you can hit a thin shot and still get on, then stay away.
The Club at Lake Sinclair
Played On 10/19/2017Challenging for a short course
I enjoyed this course very much. I played the back tees because the course was short. The back tees make some of the tee shots VERY tight. The course was in great shape. Greens were true. Every once in a while, you might get a tight lie in the fairway. Overall, great course.
Sun Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 10/25/2016Beautiful course
This might be the most beautiful course I've ever played. In the middle of the desert. Mountains in every direction. Amazing. The course conditions were perfect. Plush fairways. Perfect greens. All for under $50. WOW!!! Time it right and you can play one of the best courses on the planet for relatively cheap.
Desert Willow Golf Course
Played On 10/23/2016Great short course
We very much enjoyed this course. A foursome should be able to play in around 3 hours. Course conditions were perfect. The little black rabbits everywhere were cool. Greens were a little slick, but I like them that way. We played for $18. I would pay twice that in a heartbeat to play this course again. Great experience.
Eglin AFB Golf Course - Falcon
Played On 10/10/2014Play Fast
If you're not a fast player, stay away from this course. You will get trampled by all the old men trying to finish their round before they die. I played the Falcon course (not Eagle). It was in very good condition for an 89-year-old course. The greens rolled true. If you play early when there is still dew on the ground, your ball will collect sand on the greens and your feet will get soaked if you don't have water-proof shoes (I didn't). I payed $25 for 18 holes with cart, so I can't complain much. My only complaint is that the lady riding the bunker raking machine followed me the entire round. Very annoying. She should go backwards so everyone only sees her once.
