The course is in really good shape except for the sand traps. The traps are very firm so it is like hitting off of solid dirt. They need to till them and then keep them raked. It appears that they are getting a lot of water from the sprinklers.

I have played this course annually for the last several years. Since the first time, the course has deteriorated and is no longer a course I’ll recommend or play again. Many of the fairways were roped off so carts either couldn’t go on the fairway or had to be driven to the end of the ropes to get to the ball. Several holes had closed tee boxes that presumably are under repair, but they didn’t look like anything was being done. Plastic mats were provided on several, but the 18th tee just had a very badly chewed up patch of grass/dirt next to the tee boxes.
It is disappointing that the course has gotten so bad. It used to be one of my favorite courses to play when I am in Phoenix.

This was my first round at the Raven but it won't be the last. The course was in excellent condition. The staff is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Raven--you won't be disappointed.

This course is not very well maintained and pales in comparison to other AZ courses. The fairways are narrow and do not have much grass on them. The greens were inconsistent, some fast and some slow. For just a bit more money you can book rounds on GolfNow at much nicer courses.

This was a great golf experience from the bag drop to the 18th green. The course is in excellent condition and is quite scenic for a desert course. Greens were a bit difficult to read—some slow and some fast but overall pretty good. I recommend this course, in fact I’m playing there again tomorrow.

This course is one of the best I have played in the Phoenix area and is much better than many of the pricey courses around. The staff was excellent and seemed to care that we were having a good experience. The course is in excellent condition from tee to green. The resort itself is excellent—the condos are top notch and very well appointed. The restaurant in the clubhouse was excellent and service was outstanding. I am very pleased that I chose to spend my spring golf outing here and will definitely be back.

The course is in pretty good condition. I came to Arizona to play golf but the resort where I’m staying had a tournament this morning. I had played Orange Tree two years ago and hoped to repeat the experience. I was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Marshall did a good job of keeping the pace of play on tract. Only negative was that the greens were very firm and fast—almost impossible to get a shot to hold. I have planned a trip next February, staying at Orange Tree and hope to enjoy the course and resort again.

I booked my tee time (a hot deal) on Sunday, but was concerned that they might have cart path restrictions because of all the rain, so I called early this morning to check on it. The guy who answered the phone gruffly told me they were closed. Didn’t offer any explanation. Since they were closed, I cancelled my hot deal expecting to not be charged but the charge is still showing as pending on my VISA card.

Course is in very poor condition. Appears course is not being maintained. Traps did not have sand (gravel type material) and had not been raked. Greens are exceptionally fast and would not hold a shot. Grass around traps had not been mowed.
Very slow play due to un-monitored slow group.
