I've played Kizer many times and it's just sad to see the greens in such poor condition. Everything else is really good so it's frustrating. The green fees have gone up but the greens stink and if you don't have good greens it really hampers the enjoyment and the ability to score. I won't be back until I hear definitive word the greens are in at least decent shape

had a good time at Bluebonnet. course conditions are solid. greens are consistently good there. fairways are decent and the bunkers are well kept. compared to other courses in the area Bluebonnet is a good value and it's a fun layout. good times.

The course was in great shape as it usually is. Fun course to play just a little pricey.

Had a great time. The course was really nice as usual. Fun layout and nice conditions and an affordable price . Hard to beat that.

Played Saturday May 2, 2015. We booked a time on Golfnow for $50 for a 10 o' clock tee time. I realize Saturday morning is going to be the most expensive time to play. But this course is simply not worth that kind of coin. I played late last summer and was encouraged by the way the course looked. But it has regressed since then. There are weeds everywhere. Fairways and greens are thin. It's hard to understand because the recent weather has been perfect for growing grass. I can't imagine that they're doing hardly any watering. It's a bummer because it's an interesting layout.

The reason i rate this course a poor value is mainly the greens. They are not anywhere near the condition you would expect for a course charging what Avery does. I've played this course 5 or 6 times since it has opened and the greens were good only one of those times. Everything else is fine. Very frustrating.

Played Kizer on Saturday 3/28/15. Kizer is one of my favorite course in the area. Unfortunately, the course is in bad condition...in particular the greens. They are brown and crusty...very little grass on them. Apparently they are aerating and sanding them next week. Hopefully they recover after that. But there is really no excuse for them to be in this kind of shape right now. Other courses' greens are fine in the area. I will not be back until i hear a good report. Final word: it really irks me that golf courses charge full price when their course is obviously in poor condition.

Played Forest Creek on 8/2/14. We got a great discount on Golfnow for a Saturday afternoon round. I was pleasantly surprised. The course was really in great shape. As good as i've ever seen it. Fairways and greens were all in good shape. The course is pretty tough. It's very much a target course while only needing driver on a few holes. Looking forward to playing again soon.

There's no way I would pay the regular price. We paid $45 for a Saturday afternoon time. Got a discount using Golfnow. The course is fun to play and the conditions were good....certainly not great but passable. I can't believe someone would pay $70+ to play there. $45 seems about right for a full weekend fee. The pace of play was fine. They weren't fully booked which I totally understand because they are so overpriced. And the cart girl came around often. I think she was having a bad day. Kind of grumpy. But we had a fun time and I would recommend the course if you can get a decent discount on your green fee.

I think this was the 5th time I've played Morris Williams since the renovation. Until now, the greens had been playing very firm taking a shot. But now they are taking a shot nicely which is great. But they're a bit slow and not super smooth...hopefully they can improve in that regard as well. Fairways and tee boxes were good. Overall, the renovations that were made (mostly larger greens and added yardage) are a positive for the course. I like the course. It's nice to have a decent course that's not too expensive.

I played on Saturday 6/28/14 and surprisingly the course was not crowded at all. We played in 3 hours flat which is unheard of on a Saturday at Kizer. It was great. The fairways also were very nice. They had recently punched them but they had come in nicely and were in really good shape. The greens, on the other hand are a different story. They had grass on them (unlike 5 weeks ago when they were mostly bare)...but they were slow and a little bumpy. The grass doesn't look uniform. It seems to be growing in every direction. I don't know what their problem is with the greens but it's a constant problem. The course would be so much better if the greens were simply good. It's still a very fun course to play but the greens continue to disappoint.

Fairways and greens were in very good shape. No complaints there. The sand traps need some work...as in more sand. You can see the lining coming through on many of the traps. My only other complaint is that several holes have homes that are too close to the fairways. #4 is the worst. 15 feet right of the cart path and you're in a backyard. Still, a fun course that's not terribly expensive.

I always enjoy playing Kizer. It's a very fun course that's pleasing to the eye. I played on New Years day and it was a nice day. Over the last year or so the greens have always been the one thing that's kept Kizer from being really stellar. But on this day they were better than usual. Smooth and quick. Hopefully this will continue into the spring and summer.
