Grand Elk Golf Course
Played On 08/09/2022Nice Course, but Be Prepared!
A nice course with some unique challenges. Played it with my son. We both enjoyed the courses condition, pace of play, practice facilities, and layout. Definitely some blind shots and challenging holes, but the GPS on the cart helped.
My main warning is that you need to come prepared. We came to the area for the national parks, but added in this unexpected round out golf. They are very strict down the polo enforcement. Thus, both my son and I had to buy a shirt. Cheapest in the clubhouse was $79 each. Rental clubs were nice, but did not come with any of the supplies, so I had to buy golf balls as well. Value for the round was good, especially with the junior price, but after all the add-ons, it was quite an expensive day.
Branson Hills Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2020Beautiful course!
Definitely my favorite course I’ve played in Branson. My only recommendation is cheaper rates for junior golfers. It was a little pricey to bring my 11-year old son ($50). He definitely enjoyed finding some extra golf balls along the way. Wish the beverage cart would’ve been out longer in the day. Overall, great layout, great course, and a place we will return.
Branson Hills Golf Club
Played On 08/04/2020Good value for a great course
I have played a couple of Branson courses on this vacation, and this is by far my favorite. Definitely rewards good shots. The course layout was beautiful. Lots of changes in elevation, and no easy hole on the course. The condition was very good. I also like how the houses were not right on top of every hole, as they are at some of the other Branson courses. I can see how this would be extremely challenging if dry, but the course was in fantastic shape today. My wife and I both really enjoyed the course, and the tees were fair. Greens were rolling fairly fast but true, so that made for some fun putting challenges. Definitely want to stay below the hole. I will play it much different next time, and I will definitely be back to give it another crack!
The Pointe Golf Course
Played On 08/03/2020Decent Resort Course
I’ve played a few courses in Branson on this trip and this one was OK. There is definitely some neat holes, but also a few holes that feel like they were tucked in between houses. I would’ve preferred a little more space between the course and a house/condo. Overall, the course was in good condition. Greens were a little slower than I would like, but fair. The golf carts were extremely comfortable, so that was definitely a nice perk. I really enjoyed some of the par threes, but two holes with significant uphill tee shots were a little challenging, even for longer hitters. It was not a bad course, but I would spend a few extra bucks and play Branson Hills next time I am in town.
Beautiful Layout and Great Challenge
Every hole was set up beautifully. Really enjoyed the course layout. Course had some condition issues, but that is not unusual for a new course. This will be a gem for the Quad Cities. We already are discussing bringing a larger group next year to enjoy this beautiful course at a good value.
