EXTREMELY SLOW PLAY
Played at 2PM on Presidents Day. Was told when we checked in to just go to the tee box at our time, NO STARTER, NO RANGERS. There was a foursome (2 walking, 2 with carts) then a single player that wouldn’t hit, including his tee shot (not very well) until the foursome cleared the green!! No ranger to come talk to him. We paired with the single behind us for three. We finished in the dark and rushed the last 2 holes just to finish. The foursome behind us was not very forgiving near the end having to wait 10 plus minutes a hole.

The course conditions were good. The greens have come back nicely and were very smooth. Fairways and overall the course was very good.

Played Bent Creek on 3/6 and I’d say it was bad, very bad. The tee boxes were bare spots and dirt galore. The greens were yes fast but all brown , no grass or green at all and weeds are around the fringe. The course was littered with TRASH , beer bottles , water bottles , a cart sand pail & scoop, safety cones and a 5 hour round of golf will have me not returning. Sad that so much money was spent on redoing their greens last year to see the course in such poor shape and littered with trash.

Fun course to play, it’s challenging with some tight fairways and lots of water. If you are one to not consistently hit the fairway , bring extra balls !
I’d say the course was only ok., the greens had quite a bit of crab grass. The Starter needs a attitude adjustment !!! He was extremely rude!

First time playing The Yard and I’d did not disappoint. The course layout was the perfect challenge. Loved the greens and all the different elevations (didn’t put them well, but that’s on me!) watch those approach shots !!!! The greens were super fast. The staff was super friendly. We were somewhat surprised that they were not playing cart path only as many of the fairways were very wet due to all the recent rain. Great course , fun challenge, will be back to play again.

I’m sorry to have to write this review as to the terrible condition that this course was in. I believe that that had their entire irrigation system broke a few weeks ago , the fairways burnt with the heat. The irrigation system is now functioning but the course is a wreck. On top of the July rain they have not been able to cut the fairways. Truly the worst condition. I’ve seen. When arriving today they told us it was cart path only, not even a 90* allowance. Seemed a bit extreme given the condition of the course. Yes there were some wet areas but not enough to restrict golfers from at least driving 90*. Was actually thinking of purchasing a home in the community. This changed my mind. Sorry

Poor might be two generous. The fairways were in terrible shape tons of weeds lots of bare spots. The tee boxes were also weeds and bare spots. The greens were in decent shape. For the rate paid I would have expected much greener fairways! That being said , I love the course layout and the peacefulness. Staff was very friendly.

Course was in top condition as usual. It was cold, no wind and the greens were very fast. Pace of play is usually good but it was slower today. Didn’t bother us as we were not in a hurry , it was a casual outing. Great coursec

The course was in great shape , as usual. Got right on at our scheduled tee time. Pace of play was terrible. There was a foursome in front of us with two very new players. Course etiquette would have been great to let us play through.

Have played this course for years, very slow play on EVERY Sunday. Over 4 hours to play 18, normal pace for our group (playing ready play) is 3-3.5 hours. Seems the Starter and staff could do a better job keeping the groups moving at a steadier pace. Waiting on a tee box for 15 minutes is not good! Alternate groups teeing off your first 2/3 hours between teeing off on 1 & 10 to get your groups moving faster.

The course is not as well manicured as in the past. Hole markers are over grown and fairway markers can’t be found.

Pace of play in the mornings at Bent Creek is ALWAYS so slow! Just a suggestion , for the first 2 hours let one group go off the front 9 and the next group go off the back 9....this would greatly increase the speed of play on the weekends.
The course itself is beautiful , maintained well and fun to play.

Amazingly beautiful! Course was in excellent shape. The greens were very fast and challenging. The staff was super friendly. Overall a great experience. We’ve played many courses in Florida and Upstate NY , including the breathtaking Bristol Harbour, but this proved to be our favorite.

I was disappointed today with the course, specifically the sand traps. Most , if not all has nearly a foot of standing water in them. This made it impossible to find your ball say nothing about even being able to play a shot out of the bunkers. The standing water has been in there so long that the water had tadpoles swimming. If the drainage is that bad , fix it. That’s not fair your paying guests to lose balls that should be easily playable.

The course was in great shape. The pace of play was terrible! Stagger your early morning tee times between the grant and back nine! Frustrating to play have to play so slowly

Beautiful course. Great condition. Very challenging. Water and trees abound. Leave your driver in the car

The course is in terrible shape. Over grown weeds, huge and MANY bare spots in the fairways. Impossibe to hit a proper chip shot from around the grreens. Had to 'tap' on the starter under neath the seat to keep the golf cart running.....really!
