Long course, 7400 plus yards from back Tee. Wide fairways invite you to swing hard but you are greeted with extreme rocky areas and ravines if you miss the fairway and light rough. 4 Difficult par 3's.
My favorite is 12th hole from T Boxes high above the green surrounded by 3 bunkers spread around front and sides of the green. Special hole to enjoy views of Reno and mountains.
In high season the greens are kept at 10 to 11 on stim meter to stay reasonable.
Both courses at Arrowcreek are now totally private and the entire facility has undergone a complete renovation to include outside pool and bar/restaurant. Every day spent here is a day in a first class resort!

Played fast for a crowded course. Well priced. Equal playing conditions to courses I played in the valley with much higher fee.

Range was closed due to No Balls. Ok since unpacked balls were laying about the range and nobody stopped you from hitting them.
Front nine mostly played thru housing community but otherwise good layout. Back 9 was in hills with houses but much more open and a bit longer. Were around the greens and fairways the course playing area was well maintained.
Priced right and although brown and weeds

Sand is gravelly. More like surrounding desert. Layout of Faldo course could use updating.
Why charge the high price when range is limited and some T's at not accessable so the LPGA players due in 3 weeks can be presented with pristine T boxes. Played blue/white combo and many holes have been shortened be having no access to normal blue or white T's. BOO

Nice layout and good condition. Took 5 hours to play 14 holes.

I have played here before and found it to be challenging yet fair. However, today it was sloggy wet. So much so that we lost some ball that plugged in the fairways. Round was long due to conditions and it was well booked. Had a hot dog at the turn but it was not as described by playing partner I had just met that day but it was palatable with cool bun and not too hot hot dog. I can say however that the service at the course from check-in to restaurant was excellent.

Range is great with good targets and plenty of balls. The putting green is large and not crowded plus puttable. Course looks tight at times but is very open off T and greens are very approachable. Not a lot of water but enough to make it interesting.
Go and use the putting course before or after your round for a treat.

Course has good layout and with some good challenges. We are all single digit handicaps and found the t to green long at times although we are not short but a little longer than average. Greens were exceptional 10-11 stimp and not too undulating but sneaky breaks. All bunkers were excellent but if your wedge has a little too much bounce you'll have some difficulty with em.
Staff is great and of course the cart girls are great too.

Great, challenging course design in mountains. Bunkers easy to play out of with correct form. Greens just right, not too fast. Some uphill shots mixed into downhill and level approach shots. Staff is friendly and efficient especially the cute waitress who served the beers on patio!

Came as single and was joined by another and a twosome. Good fun. I played the "tips" on a day when the wind averaged 18 with 30 mph gusts. Downwind holes were birdie opportunities and of course into the was tough. Greens smooth and about a 10 on stimp meter, good speed but not terrible and I had only 26 putts.

layout is Better tba neighbor, Chardonnay. They say wind is common.

Windy, 20 steady with gust much higher. Made course a lot more challenging and playing the long Tees was easier downwing and tougher into wind but most holes appeared to be cross wind.
Greens about a 10 not too fast but good with the wind and green slopes. I am a 4.7 index and was able to shoot 43. 39 with only one birdie on the 18th. The signature hole got me for a double and was crossing wind and helping enough to push me right and lost the ball in the mountain rough. Otherwise I was on the cusp of an excellent round, too bad.

Bunkers need care from maintenance. Lots of elevated t boxes help shorten yardage.

Practice facility prior to play is excellent covered area. Green was fast with practice items available. T boxes and greens were well maintained. I liked the layout with variety of shots and presentation of each hole. Still very playable from tips and not a typical desert course. Advertise the Segway but have none available and force you to take an hour long test just to use em. Not cool.

No one, not even Golf Now site advised greens were punched and it was cart path only too. Not fun when you have almost no chance to score. Like a driving range with no greens. Sorry.
