Old man in need of a vaccine

The staff are great. The layout is attractive however it has reached the stage of its life where $$$ needs to be invested in the bunkers, the tee boxes, and the areas around the various ponds, the practice facilities need major unpgrading. There are no on course potty johns which might discourage women too.

Good value for money

Our little foursome had a great time. We did have to let 3 two-some play through us. However it wasn't a big deal. We love 4 holes a lot. There is a mix of challenging and moderate holes.

Pricing confusion

I purchased discounted green fees for 4 people from Golf Now. The total was about $156.00 to be paid at the course. However because we split the total 2 ways somehow we were charged $84.00 for each twosome. One guy paid with credit card for 2 players and I paid in cash for 2 players. I didn't care at the time however I now know I should have asked for an explanation. The course is very playable. The back 9 are a step up from the front 9 and demand a lot more attention to shot making. The par 5 are not too long at all and you can score on them. Well no.2 does require a precise drive and layup.

A course for each type of horse

Austin Bayou Golf Course was built to attract the RV crowd. The owners design the course themselves. It started out with 4 holes. It has some nice challenging holes. The greens are rather small compared to other courses in the area. Nice course to walk. No marshals on the week days and on the weekends they are not all that helpful moving the weekend players around in a timely manner, especially in the summer months. It is a great course for both handicappers and beginners.

Course is worth $10.00greenfee/cart

This course was once of the best in Texas when owned by Tenneco. It has steadily gone down hill. Bunkers have mud in them. Lakes on the course are low and slimy. Greens are hard, patched with some sand, and water damaged. Maintenance les than minimal. It is in a sad state. Groupon running a promotion which is an outright lie about condition of the course. Some old members are running the place. Weeds everywhere.
