SugarTree Golf Club
Played On 09/19/2015The locals don't want you there ...
All in all an enjoyable round. Round took 4 hours and 5 minutes which included a stop for beverages at the turn. We had a group of 4 locals behind us that got disorderly claiming we were playing slow and that we ignored their request to play through. They hit into our group numerous times. Based on this being the second occurrence of such an experience, we have crossed SugarTree off our list of courses to return to.
Riverchase Golf Club
Played On 09/21/2014Worst Golf Experience of 2014
Our tee time was for 9:18am. Got started late due to pace of play. By the 7th hole, had to call the club house and complain that we had not seen a ranger to ensure pace of play was acceptable as there were 3 foursomes on the 7th hole at the same time. No ranger appeared. At the turn, went inside the clubhouse and talked to the Pro Shop personnel who 'claimed' they had sent someone out when I called, After #10 taking 20+ minutes due to the backup, the ranger wizzes by and never stops to talk with anyone of the 3 groups in front of us. By the time we got to the 11th tee, had to wait almost 15 minutes to tee off and between 11th tee and 12th green, there were a total of 6 foursomes. When the ranger drove back by, I stated that there were 3 4-somes on 11 and 12 and his snotty reply was, " what's your point" ... by the time we got to 16, which is a par 3, there were 3 groups on #16 and a 4'some teeing off on 17. Overall I would rate this experience abysmal. I suggest that you find a different course.
I agree with you on the pace of play and the condition of the bunkers. I had to pick up my ball from the bunkers so as to not ding up my clubs on the rocks. We were waiting so long to tee off and saw it like a traffic jam on the highway except it was golf carts, that we just left after the 14th hole. We got tired of continuing to wait for 10-15 mins to tee off because of the groups ahead of us.
