Chehalem Glenn Golf Club
Played On 05/05/2018A little neglected
I've played this course several times, the tees, fairways and rough were in great shape. The greens had just been punched, and the course gave a $10 credit to be used on the next round. What was disappointing was that the bunkers haven't been touched since last season. The sand was hard packed and full of weeds and patches of grass.
The Mook at Alderbrook
Played On 12/09/2017Outstanding Oregon Coast Golf
The course is picturesque and can be challenging on wayward shots. It offers a couple elevated tee shots and even a short par 3 where the green is about 70 feet above the tee box. I’ll definitely play this course again.
Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course
Played On 09/04/2017Over watered and uncut
This course can be quite challenging even though it is only a par 3 course. All holes are over 100 yards and the longest is 180. I'm giving this a rating of 4 stars because at our tee time of 8:10AM the greens nor the tee boxes had been cut. The greens didn't need to be cut, however, they were covered in dew from the early morning watering. There was standing water and muddy areas, something that shouldn't be present when there hasn't been any measurable rain for nearly 3 months. The course superindendent should know how to better care for this course.
Quail Valley Golf Course
Played On 08/12/2017Great weather, course too soggy
For not seeing any measureable rain for 56 days, the course had clearly been over watered. There were areas of standing water and mud in the middle of the fairways causing very good shots to stick, there was no roll whatsoever. We had to play "Winter Rules" in the middle of August. Very disappointing the course superintendent didn't do a better job.
Quail Valley Golf Course
Played On 08/16/2015Great course, management needs a refresh
The conditions of the course we're pretty good. Greens in excellent condition. Where I feel they need improvement is in course management and attention to detail. The weather has been hot and dry and I wouldn't expect to find mud and standing water, they are overwatering the course. The ball washers were dry. There were only two water cans on the entire course and the refreshment cart never came out with the temperature in the 80's. These details would have given them a 5 star rating.
Mountain View Golf Club
Played On 08/10/2013Challenging but fun
A challenging and difficult course. Plenty of hard hills and blind shots. Better to play with a member who knows the yardage and where to hit the ball.
Love playing number 12, dangerous and steep cart path to get from tee to green. Be safe,
Thanks for your comments and the positive review. Concerning the uncut and over watered issues, please note that virtually all golf courses do not mow greens on Monday's to give them a rest, as for the damp spots, yes it hasn't rained in months and has been one of the hottest summers in recent years. Therefore, we must irrigate to keep the course green. Irrigation is not an exact science and we sometimes have wet spots as a result. Anyhow, we hope you still continue to visit Sah-Hah-Lee, we enjoy having you here.
