Tall Pines Golf Club
Played On 07/06/2019Hidden track that’s always in great condition
Have played numerous rounds here over the years and I still don’t get tired off it. Played again in the Terry Murray Memorial Cup and once again the course was in fantastic condition.
If you’re in the area (or about to fly out from Bristol airport for a golf break and fancy a pre-holiday warm up...... it’s next door!), definitely give Tall Pines a visit.
La Manga Club Golf Resort - North Course
Played On 03/11/2019As good as the South course!
The North course caused a number of arguments within our group. Debate ran on around which was the best course at La Manga, with the result being a solid 50/50 split between the North and South courses.
On paper, the South course has all the plaudits and history so should win hands down...
...but then you play the North!
Amazing track with interesting holes (scenic and layout) which really makes you think about each shot. You need to put the ball in the right spots off the tee and the Driver isn’t always the right choice.
We loved this course! As well kept as the South but maybe a little more forgiving... if you take the right club!
Would definitely play here again. In the mean time, the debate will continue....
La Manga Club Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 03/10/2019Proper test of golf
Played all 3 courses at La Manga and the South course is (justifiably) recognised as the resort’s premier course.
Course was long and tough, but an absolute pleasure to play on. Condition of the course couldn’t be faulted. Fairways pristine, bunkers immaculate and pace of play for such a tough course was surprisingly good.
If you head to this part of the world and don’t play this course, you will have missed out.
La Manga Club Golf Resort - West Course
Played On 03/09/2019Get yourself a course planner!
The 3rd of the La Manga courses, but still a great little track. Course condition not quite up to the standard of its big brothers, but still in great nick. Could have had a little more time spent on the bunkers, but that didn’t detract from a great little course. If I could offer one suggestion, it’s to invest in a course planner before you play. Few blind drives that bring big ravines/waste areas into play. All in all though, for a 3rd course, we all agreed we would play it again.
