Falcon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 09/22/2021First off, the staff at Falcon's Fire was very friendly. This was my first time playing here. There was plenty of water to go around. Course conditions were drier than most I have read here. My only two "complaints" were the slow greens which were almost recovered from last aeration, but I think so are all the other area courses. Second, the carts are slower than most. Overall, a pleasant experience, I will be back.
Lake Spivey Golf Club
Played On 05/15/2020Ill be back
The clubhouse people were great. My first time playing the course and they answered all my questions. The starter explained which holes were cart path only & where to avoid a few areas. The course has a lot of tight lies right now and a few tee boxes were lacking. The greens are recovering nicely from the aeration 2 weeks ago. Overall pleasant experience.
Lane Creek Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2019Worth Playing
My first time at Lane Creek. Nice mix of tight and open holes. 5 tees to choose from, easy to find right length for your game. Conditions very nice & staff super friendly. Highly recommend to anyone, I'll be back.
The Oaks Course
Played On 10/16/2018The Oaks is in great shape! Greens are fast and true. Only "issue" I have is that tee times evidently don't mean anything during the week. Grabbed a Hot Deal and was to team up with 3 others. I asked the man at the counter if they were there. Was told just go out & get with someone or play as a single. Nothing but twosomes & one other single there. Played in 3 hours, a refreshing change from 5 hour rounds at other courses.
Mystery Valley Golf Club
Played On 10/10/2018Cut The Rough
This course is in pretty good shape right now except for one thing...CUT THE ROUGH! It is extremely easy to lose balls in the rough, it will just fall to the bottom. Most times you literally have to be standing DIRECTLY over the ball to see it. This slows the round for everyone on the course. The staff and starter very nice, the "marshal" was more interested in getting in some practice between groups than keeping players on pace.
The Creek At Hard Labor State Park
Played On 10/04/2018Great Shape
Been a few years since I played the Creek at Hard labor. The first hole is not the hardest in the state as they reversed the nines again. The course is in GREAT shape and all the staff I saw were very friendly. The rough is tough and the greens putting fast and very true! I won't wait as long to go back.
Southland Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/27/2017Good Course
Was placed with a two-some as I was a single today. Nice Guys. Course good shape but keep it in the fairway or close to greens as rough was a killer. A little slower than usual today (5hr round) as foursomes ahead bogged it down. We had a two-some in front of us & had to wait practically every shot.
