Great game improving course

The course was in very good condition where the greens are nice and fast. The course is short and mostly open, but it has some nice challenges with sharp turns both left and right, and obstacles that force you to think. The hardest holes have some tricky greens. For an intermediate player that will score all penalties, this is a great game improving course.

Poor layout

The course is poorly laid out and stacked so tightly they need to post restrictions like "Iron's only" from tee, or "warnings you are not allowed to go for the green" because if you miss you'd hit the club house and people down below. The course is in good condition but also attracts a lot of hackers. I had hackers hitting balls at me while I was on the next tee box because they couldn't hit the right fairway on the par 3 in the back nine. I have many friends that are decent intermediate golfers that love this course probably because it's price. To be fair, I would play this course again just to see if I could lower my handicap-index.

More for hackers

The course is not in the worse condition I've ever seen, but it's not for golfers (really for hackers). The neighborhood blasts obnoxious dance music by mid-day. I asked the ranger if that was normal and he said, "every weekend it happens". Sort of like when attention seeking "dudes" drive cars where their bass kicker box vibrates everything around it and sets of alarms on other cars (but you're trying to play golf). Golfers on the course do not have any etiquette (they stand in your fairway waiting, then hit balls towards you when they are out-of-bounds and in your fairway). It's a bit of a circus to me, but hackers may feel right at home here. On the positive, the staff is friendly and quite easy going.
