Very short neighborhood track. Layout, conditions and maintenance are all very average. Fast greens and sloooow play. Friendly staff.

I am always hesitant to write a review of Lost Lakes because I don't want the secret to get out, but-

I love this course. it is always in great shape, the staff are extremely professional and friendly. The groundskeepers do a fantastic job, they pay close attention to and marshal the pace of play-, its a great layout and challenging for all levels of players, the environment is well-kept and pure Florida-what's not to love.

I like the layout of this course and it was in reasonably good shape for early March. The pace of play was glacial not in small part due to the “management”. The pro shop staff was anything but friendly and welcoming, especially towards GolfNowers. We are definitely at the back of the line. I’ve been lucky enough to play a lot of great courses through GolfNow and have always felt welcome. Not here.

There are too many, much better courses to play for us. Don’t waste your money here.

Played in early April. Conditions were OK. The overall impression was this is a fairly average course but there are some better alternative in the immediate area.

the course has 72 holes, we played the Dunes course. The course was in excellent shape with a nice layout. I was surprised at the good pace of play considering the traffic. The greens were fast with tough pin placement but a lot of fun.

This is really a fun track to play with your friends. Very nice layout with ups and downs. It’s pretty open but challenging with very nice scenery. The holes are moderately to very challenging and the pace of play, on this day, was very good. Given the time of year the course is in pretty good shape but could definitely use some work. Overall it was fun, fun, fun.

This course is in the middle of nowhere. The good news it was out in the country surrounded by trees and autumn colors. That’s the best I can say. The layout is pretty challenging with quite a few blind shots. The course conditions ranged from ok to poor. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were patchy. The bunkers and traps were mostly hard pan or mud with weeds growing up. The pace of play was g l a c I a l ! I had to wait for the group in front of me who was waiting for the group in front of them as far as the eye could see in front and behind us. This track could use some change of management, quickly.

It’s not worth the drive- don’t bother

The course is well laid out and the facility has some nice amenities and programs but I was surprised and disappointed with a few things. First of all this is an “executive course” with 9 holes so you ply the 9 twice for a round. If not for the weeds, the tee boxes would have no grass at all. The fairways had bare spots all over. The greens were fairly nice but postmarked with ball marks.
There are much better courses nearby to spend your time and money.
Overall I was very disappointed in the whole experience

A pretty challenging track. Definitely pick up a course book or play with someone who’s played there before. The course is well maintained with some pretty vistas. Greens were very fast and the fairways in good shape. I will be playing it again.

It was a great day, good conditions and good golf. They had a good crowd playing today but the staff had everything running smoothly and on time. Not much backup and well marshaled

Nags Head is one of my favorite golf courses in the outer banks. It is always in great shape with quick greens. It is a tight course with a lot of blind shots so course knowledge is a plus. The track is a modified links style course that takes advantage of the OBX environs with the finishing holes along Albemarle Sound. It is a shot-maker's course that can be very, very challenging especially when you get son 20-25 mph winds off the sound. If you visit the OBX play a round there.

I play The Point once or twice a year when I visit the Outer Banks. I usually take guests there to tune up for some of the more challenging courses in the area. It is a "gentile" course, moderately challenging but fun to play. The course has matured nicely over the years. It is a very flat, relatively open tract with a lot of local vegetation. The overall course is in very good shape and the greens are in great shape. Considering I played on the 4th of July week, at the height of tourist season the pace of play was pretty good and well marshaled, which helped a lot to keep pace up. I would recommend The Point and it's sister course The Carolina Club to anyone visiting the OBX.
They are both very well managed and maintained course.

I try to play at Champions every time I'm in the area- it's one of the best overall facilities in southern Florida. This time the course was in excellent shape the greens were pristine and VERY fast. As usual, the course is well managed and the pace of play was good. If you are in the Hobe Sound/ Stuart area: play here.

I hesitate to review this course as it is, by far, one of the best secrets around. The course is always in great shape, the surrounding grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, the course is challenging and the staff is outstanding.
This is one of the best managed and maintained public courses in southern Florida. After playing 18 holes on a fantastic golf day the starter came by asked us , by name, if we enjoyed our round and please come back. How many courses has that ever happened to you? Lets just keep this secret to ourselves.

I have been looking forward to playing Hammock Creek course for a while. A Nicklaus course consistently rated in the top 100 public courses- this will be great. WRONG.
The staff was surly and impatient even though they weren't that busy. They made me fell like they were doing me a favor by making me wait 45 minute after my tee time to let me on.
The course was very, very average. the greens were terrible and bald yet rolled like a long shag carpet. The pace of play was actually very good especially by southern Florida standards.
There are better alternatives in the area. Play if you like but prepared to be underwhelmed.

The course is fun and a bit of a challenge to play. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the grounds are well tended. The course is in the middle of a neighborhood so the scenery is lacking but the houses are set back on large lots so you don't feel cramped. If you visit the OBX don't overlook this one.
