Indian Hills Golf Course
Played On 05/04/2015dead/dormant fairways in early May 2015
Played the front 9 in less than 2 hours with another guy. The greens were in good shape and rolling well. Most of the fairways were completely dead/dormant. They said that they have applied fertilizer and were hoping to get them back in a week or two. Overall a decent price and a decent round of golf.
GreyStone Golf Club
Played On 09/07/2014Excellent Tee Boxes in Sept 2014
The course was in really nice shape. The tee boxes were very lush. In fact, these were the highest level of maintenance I have seen on tee boxes in quite a while. Some of the greens were a bit pock marked, but none affected the roll of my putts. I cannot understand why people refuse to fix their ball marks.
The second 9 has some very challenging holes. The par-5 12th is only the #13 handicap on the card, but it plays tougher than that. It is difficult to visualize where you want to try to hit your shots. On the drive, the boulders jutting out on the right side as you look at the landing zone from the tee mess with your mind. Then, the second shot is basically a blind shot to lay-up or try to get close or reach the green in 2.
Overall a great course. I would play more often if it weren't so far away.
Henry Horton State Park Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2014Nice condition in late June 2014
I believe it was around $40 to ride 18 on a weekday. A great price for a very well maintained course. I had no issues with course condition. Greens are smooth and true. A challenging but fair course. There are a few long holes: #10 is a 450+ par-4 that plays uphill and is a bit tight in the trees. #14 is a long par-3 that can play 200-250 yards depending on which tees you play. The 18th is a monster par-5. A great finishing hole. Henry Horton is in my rotation of courses I prefer to play most often.
Windtree Golf Course
Played On 9/7/2012Nice greens, nice course
Windtree is a well maintained course (except for the bunkers for some reason). The greens have been very nice every time I have played there, but they historically have had a little trouble with disease on the 18th green. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite courses to play in the Nashville area. It is challenging, yet fair. The par-5's play relatively short and are typically reachable in 2. There is one monster par-3 that plays about 220 yards, but the rest are short to mid-iron shots.
Glad they notified you about the fairways. Come back in a couple weeks and try us out again!
