Consistent Quality Course

I play this course about 8-10 times per year including tournament play - I'm a 15 handicap. The course is always well maintained and offers a hole-by-hole, but fair challenge. Staff are pleasant. Marshalls do a good job of 'a 'friendly drive-by', just to make sure people are keeping pace, as it tends to be a popular, therefore busy course. There is no return to the clubhouse after 9 but typically a beverage cart makes regular rounds and there are 4 or 5 go-huts along the course. One of my favourite public courses in the Ottawa area.

Worth the drive

This is one of those country golf courses that are unassuming from the road but someone there knows what they are doing. We played for $12.99 each w/cart on golfnow.com so even with gas expense, still a terrific deal. The greens were in the top 2 or 3 we've played this year and we've played at 7 different medium priced courses so far. Rough is thick but evenly cut and fair. Extremely well kept. Very picturesque course with rolling hills but no frustrating uphill/downhill/sidehill lies in the middle of the fairway. We'll go again.

Wide Open Fairways

Course is straight away, but with narrow approaches and smaller greens that require accuracy on approach shots to avoid greenside bunkers. Wind direction plays quite a role. Difficult Par 3's requiring accurate shots with right club selection. Greenside rough can be thick and difficult.
