Stopped by to play this course while on a business trip. Very easy to walk. Perfect if you like old school country club courses. I will definitely be back. Very Enjoyable.

Fantastic classic course that is perfect for walkers. Loved the layout and the conditions were great. If you like classic courses, you will love this one! Small greens do a good job protecting par.

Good Old School course. A lot of fun to hack it around on this course. Some real interesting holes. Love the 4th par 3 with the mound encircling the green!

Lots of good views of the Shenandoah Valley at this course! Use an iron off the First Tee! Good conditions and a reasonable price. If you are in the area take the time to play this course.

The courses are Challenging enough to keep your attention, but not so difficult that they beat you up.

We usually play this course on our way to Myrtle Beach. Fairly open and the difficulty is around the greens. Really enjoy the layout and would have no problem playing this course on a regular basis if I lived closer. Always a good time and recommend you take the time to play if you are passing through.

Tight mountain layout. Some holes have room to miss, but many do not. Keep everything in front of you and you will do OK. We were the only ones on the course and had a great time!

Good 9 Hole Course in Good condition. Some of the holes are fairly tight. You need to keep it straight and have a good short game to score well here.

Course was in excellent condition from tee to green! My compliments to the Greenskeepers. Good layout that is fairly open. Lots of up and down which is to be expected with the surrounding landscape. Well worth playing if you are in the area.

Front 9 was tighter than the Back 9. Not a place to get loose with the driver on the front. I imagine the name Iron Masters comes from the fact that you need to be hitting your irons well to score here!

Course is a good example of PA mountain golf. Decent value for the money. WOuld not go out of my way to play, but would stop by if I was in the area and wanted to play a round of golf

A historic course that was founded in 1885 and is a perfect example of what golf was 100 years ago. If you like the history of golf, you will like this course. Perfect for a round of Hickory Golf.

A friend and I played Piney Apple on an unseasonably warm February weekend. View from first tee was awesome! Terrain runs up, down and over various small hills. Layout was decent, but got a bit quirky on the back 9. Seemed as if there was a spot where they tried to cram in a few holes. Not a bad course for country golf and I do not use the term "country golf" as a slight in the least. I would play if you are passing through, but would not travel to play here.

Played this course on Labor Day Weekend. Conditions were not as good as I have seen in the past, but this summer has been rough on courses in the Mid Atlantic. I will attribute the course conditions to that. Greens looked good though. Fairways took the worst of it. Pace of play was OK for a Holiday weekend. Course has a good layout. Fun and challenging, but did not have any tricked up holes. Overall a course that I would not mind playing on a regular basis.

The greens were in good condition. Layout is a lot of fun. Par 62 allows you to use all the clubs in your bag. Used driver off 3 Tees. Challenging shots into the greens. Some of the greens are a bit on the small side.

A friend and I got paired with a couple locals. Had a great time! The course played harder than the slope would indicate.

This course keeps your attention. Move the ball around the course and keep it in play. Spray and Pray will not work here.

This course has a good layout that I have enjoyed playing several times over the years. The holes are moderately difficult without being abusive.

The condition was poor, but that is to be expected in February. I have played in the summer and it is usually in good condition.

This is a good course that we have played a number of times on Northern Neck Golf Trips. A fun, challenging layout with some nice river views on the back 9. Nice clubhouse and good staff.
