Hilton Head National Golf Club
Played On 09/12/2020Great Course
From beginning to end, a great round of golf! Friendly and welcoming staff, course Marshall’s were cordial and outgoing, the course itself was well cared for, in terrific shape, small But fair greens added to the level of difficulty. Covid-19 had the restaurant offerings limited (pretty standard in these strange times) but the waitress was charming! Awesome outing!! Thank you so much!
Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 08/23/2020Awesome greens
It had rained pretty hard prior to my round and rained a little during the round so the course was understandable wet and played long because there was NO roll......lol. But it was challenging. Long par 3’s which I like. Very well kept!! Absolutely awesome greens!!!!! Thanks!!! Very enjoyable
Heritage Oaks Golf Club

This course caters to its existing members and has no tolerance for outside play!! Rude, unprofessional, and way overpriced for the poor conditions! Drive to Jekyll!!
Heritage Oaks Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2020Just Terrible!
Waited in the Empty pro shop for 5 minutes for someone....anyone.... to book me in. The unfriendliness golf pro I’ve ever met evidently aggravated by my interrupting his morning sent me out. The course was fairly empty of players. 70% of the bunkers were dug out and GUR. The “Elevated” Tee boxes are a joke! The course was a soggy mess....yes it rains in southeastern Georgia, get some drainage. It’s a tragedy that a course in a great coastal location like this can continue operating.......or can it?? Avoid!!
Castle Bay Country Club
Played On 06/26/2019Not disappointed
Course is in good shape, we had one of the first tee times but when we rounded the corner at #7 the pro shop had allowed several groups of female foursomes to shotgun tee off on #’s 5, 6 & 7 and get ahead of us which caused a big delay till #9. Besides that it was a great day with an old military buddy I hadn’t seen in 25 years.
Castle Bay Country Club
Played On 11/25/2018Too Wet!!
It rained yesterday which made the course almost unplayable! The bunkers were small ponds, and the fairways were mush. All of us were left with soaked and squishy socks. Historically a nice course but DO NOT play after a rain day!!
Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 03/10/2018Baffled
It was a nice layout with alot of potential...but the fairways and greens were green dirt in MANY areas.....perhaps sprayed with fertilizer?? Very difficult to hit and putt on! Maybe later in the spring this course plushes up and would be more playable but our round was unpleasant.
Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 09/13/2015Nice course.......from the fairway.
Nice layout, great greens very receptive, terrific facility with a friendly staff. The rough is ROUGH!! We spent a lot of time looking for balls that had found their way just off or through the fairway. The balls settle deep into high cut rough.
Eagle Nest Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2015Almost perfect
Great course. Very challenging (especially with the wind blowing). Hazards in all the right spots. Good shots are rewarded & bad shots are penalized.......just as it should be. If I was required to make a suggestion I would say the greens need a little TLC.......they're a little bumpy and bare in very limited spots......but that's being picky
Nice location
It is obvious that this course had some premier days. It is a nice trek with various water features and many lurking sand traps for even slightly errant shots. The tee boxes are in dire need of repair and the greens could use some TLC. I probably would opt to pay a little more to play elsewhere.......for now.
Magnolia/Dogwood at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Links
Played On 02/08/2015Nice course
This is a challenging course even for someone who CAN work the ball. A lot of doglegs, left and right. The course was very soft and wet which increased the yardage, but the greens putted well and true. I would definitely play again. Leave your Discover card at home, they're snooty about not accepting it!
Beau Rivage Golf & Resort
Played On 01/19/2015Ho Hum, so so
Interesting layout, conditions might improve in the spring but not a good course for winter play. The tee boxes need resurfacing as they are undulating and sandy. The course staff was friendly and professional.
Carolina Pines Golf & Country Club
Played On 09/20/2014Absolutely horrific course and conditions!
Mark Twain called golf "a good walk spoiled", he must have been at Carolina Pines! The fairways and rough were practically indistinguishable. The greens had large dead areas and patches of fairway grass planted in them. The cart paths were broken up and unpassable in many areas. I have golfed around the world, even in the jungles of the Phillipines, Carolina Pines is the worst course I have ever played! And the Mosquitos.........my god the mosquitos!!!!!!
The Emerald Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2014Awesome!!!!
If I could make a single suggestion it would be for a beverage cart (it was an extraordinarily hot day!), otherwise an AMAZING course, OUTSTANDING condition, EXCEPTIONAL friendly staff, TERRIFIC pace of play, BEAUTIFUL course and surroundings. My favorite GolfNow outing so far!!!
Bear Trail Golf Club
Played On 07/06/2014Worth the 40 mile drive!
It was a beautiful day, a nice country drive, to a very nice course. I would definitely play the course again AND recommend it to others. My only negative would be the Marshall on duty who rushed up to us, didn't say hello or welcome, or hope you enjoy the round.......just 90 degree rule, don't drive past the white posts, and don't take the cart into the wooded areas.....grrrrrrrrr. We listened to grumpy, smiled, waved, laughed quietly, and went on to have a great round!
