This is the course I learned to play on, and have continued to play since 1967 . I've witnessed the course transformation from a "country course" to a true test and challenge. The postage stamp greens and the subtle twists and turns, together with yje varyied topography of the fairways, more than make up for the lack of length. The course has some straight forward holes, but is always followed up with significant challenges. It's the perceived lack of difficulty that actually makes the course so challenging. The front nine is relatively benign with little to no grade relief, but requiring you to move the ball in order to score well. The homeland nine provides numerous grade changes to elevated greens, which requires you play nearly every club in your bag. I play this course 20 times a year, sometimes 36/day, when I'm in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to make sure your experience is a good one.
