Deer Park Golf and FootGolf - Deerpark Course
Played On 09/28/2017Well worth a visit
I played a twoball recently at Deer Park, it's only the second time I've played this course. As an new but improving golfer, having taken the game up a few years ago it was a really enjoyable round. Unless you've some wild shots, It is a forgiving course, but not a walkover with it's use of the topography. On the 1st and 17th holes you're driving down the hill of Howth, so a good drive landing on the fairway will run a mile in summer conditions. There are no water hazards, the fairways are quite generous, and unless you're really off line, you'll be fine. Even though when I visited at the start of autumn , when the leaves were starting to fall, it wasn't an issue. The condition of the entire course was really good. The par 3's are not monsters, usually reached with an iron, rather than a wood or driver. There's a lot of memorable holes, each different from the rest and the scenery is unmatched when you're on the higher holes. well worth a first, or return visit !
