I played this course on a Friday at 8:00am. The pace of play was very good and I had an enjoyable round. The course was in ok shape except the greens were filled with ball marks that golfers did not fix. At the right price I’d play this course again.

Very nice course it's short but challenging. We'll maintained and enjoyable to play. The clubhouse is renovated beyond anyone's expectations. The restaurant is so nice I'm going to eat there even when I'm not playing golf. Only recommendation would be to have rangers patrolling to improve the pace of play. We started off fine but soon caught the slow groups in front of us and the pace was too slow for the course.

We played Spook Rock in MId Oct. which was a treat considering what the weather could have been like this time of year. The course was in nice condition although the greens had been recently aerated. As always when playing in the fall the leaves were brutal , but that is the case on most public courses.
Nice track, fairly challenging an overall enjoyable experience.

Played River Vale for the first time and found it very challenging. Course was in nice condition and the staff was super friendly. Luckily got paired with another twosome who knew the layout otherwise the blind shots and trouble areas would have been even more difficult. Only caveat is that for many of the tee shots you cannot see if the group in front of you has cleared the fairway due to elevation dips so there should be a bell to ring or a ranger to inform the tee box that it is clear to hit.

I booked a foursome at East Orange golf and thought I got a good rate at $30. Until we arrived at the course and were only then informed the front 9 was closed because of airating.
We started on #10 and waited every shot. There were 4 greens in poor shape. After playing 9 holes we couldn't take the Slow pace so we left. It would have been appropriate to inform Golf Now customers that only 9 holes would be open before we booked the tee time . This course is overpriced at $30 and totally unenjoyable to play at this time and current condition.
