I’ve played kissing tree probably 20 times and have always loved the course and the layout. However, after yesterday, I was very disappointed.

Me and 3 friends wanted to go out and play. We brought our girlfriends with us. Upon arrival I was told that the course did not allow riders at all. I figured the guy who was bringing the carts up didn’t know what he was talking about because the weather was kind of crummy and there was no one there. I went to the pro shop and asked if it would be ok that the girls rode with us and got the same answer. Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, I was told that in front of me there were 3 guys playing and 1 of their girlfriends was with them. They already had to take 2 carts. In order for the 1 guys girlfriend to ride with him, he had to pay a green fee for her and rent her clubs. She wasn’t even getting out of the cart but the guy had to pay $150 just for her to be there.

I completely understand not allowing riders if it requires extra carts and the course is busy. Especially since the carts at Kissing Tree are falling apart. It makes sense, more so on the weekend because they only have a certain amount of carts and if they start giving extra carts out, they can easily run out. But when there are 2 groups on the course and no one else is coming, I don’t see the problem. The thing that blows my mind is that they were perfectly fine with us having 4 carts if we were willing to pay a green fee for the girls and renting them clubs. So an 8some on a hole is ok, but god forbid you have 4 players in 4 separate carts so our girlfriends can ride around and enjoy the day with us. I hope things change because it really is a great golf course and it’s usually in great shape.

This a spectacular golf course. The conditions are always great and the layout is amazing. Not a hard it long course, but some of the best views in the San Antonio area!

Course was great! Greens could use a bit of care, but when you have a muni, that is expected! Overall, a great course and a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area

Was in NY for a company trip and had to get out. It’s ridiculous to try and book a tee time through the reservation system, unless you want to play late afternoon. But had my pro from my home club call and we got set up. The course was absolutely amazing and couldn’t have asked for better weather. My first time and would recommend a caddy as they know the layout of the course. The greens were slower than expected but rolled very true. A little steep in price, but seeing as how they’re having the 2019 PGA Championship there, guess it’s understandable. Would highly recommend and most definitely a bucket list course.

This is hands down the most amazing course in Texas. It take a while to get there, but once you are there, man what a treat! The elevation changes are such a change of pace for most Texas golf courses. The course is in great shape. We played on a Saturday afternoon at 11:30 and felt like we had the entire course to ourselves. One of the best golf trips ever!

Played the course yesterday's and hands down one of the most scenic courses in Texas. Views are unmatched. Course was in great shape. Some of the employees could smile a bit more but overall one of the best golf courses in the state.

I have played a lot of courses around the Houston area and have to say that I loved this course. One of the best public courses around and can't wait to play it when everything greens up. Great course

This course is great. Really well maintained and not too busy. Challenging holes but lots of easy tee shots. One of my favorite courses around the Houston area.
