Lincoln Oaks Golf Course
Played On 10/09/2017Lincoln Oaks - Nice relaxing course
What course gives you a free small bucket of balls? Nice relaxed area surrounded by homes and streets. Course was in good shape for early fall. No complaints or issues. Teed off around 12:30 pm and was done in 3 hours . . . a relaxing day. Sand traps could use some more sand in spots, but greens were in good shape and the ball will roll on fairways as they are cut close. I always enjoy playing this course. It has a few small water hazards to keep you on your toes, but I mange to dodge most of them as the course is forgiving on many holes, so you can recover without penalty, unless you land in some trees.
White at Gleneagles Country Club
Played On 10/04/2017Gleneagle White Course
No issues other than playing poorly today and the severe biting of the legs and ankle by flies and yellow jackets buzzing us - typical fall bug attack, so bring insect repellent, as I forgot mine. The course was packed so it took just over 4 hours to play. greens were tough with difficult pin placements and slants, plus were somewhat fast, but well manicured.
River Oaks Golf Course
Played On 09/15/2017River Oaks Golf - Tee Area Hard - Fairways Barren
I hadn't played this course in 20 years. I remembered it as a nice course to play . . . 20 years ago. Well, that's not what I found out in the present. There were a number of tee areas that were so hard you need a hammer to get the tee in the ground. I broke multiple tees. The fairways are hard and barren of any real grass as they are thin and unwatered it appears. The ball runs forever is the only advantage from the sparse thin fairways. The staff was very nice was the only plus (check in and starter specifically). As you can tell, it will likely be another 20 years before I return.
Regulation Eighteen at Scherwood Golf
Played On 09/14/2017Scherwood Golf - A Course to Enjoy
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. I believe this is the course's 50th year. Marv the owner is a relaxed and pleasant person. I bought my 1st clubs there 31 years ago and Marv fitted me for the clubs, which I had for many years. It was a pleasure playing the course as I moved further away many years ago and I decided to return despite the drive as I always enjoyed the course. I am sure you will say the same, so pay Marv a visit and enjoy the quiet electric carts and relaxing course.
Odyssey Golf Course
Played On 09/12/2017Odyssey - Greens and Fairways Very Nice to Hit/Putt
This course does a nice job on its fairways as the grass is really nice to hit from. Plenty of grass everywhere with a nice soft feel and it makes for good contact. The greens are true without many difficult slants or twists making it easier for you to read and score. They have also sanded the traps to give you a good opportunity to get out. The only negative on the entire course is the goose droppings which are really excessive. It would be nice to have the maintenance staff clean that up as you have to watch where you step a lot. Still a very good course to play.
George W Dunne National Golf Course
Played On 09/07/2017George W. Dunne - A Classic Course
The staff, especially the very tall young man with glasses is always welcoming, polite and smiling on check in. As usual the course is very well kept. make sure to bring your sand wedge as you will likely land in a few of the 160 sand traps. The greens are always a challenge as they have slants and rolls as you never seem to find a flat area near the pin. The only negative part of the course are the greens as they are hard and you they generally do not hold a nice drive, as the ball either bounces or rolls off the green. Otherwise the course is well maintained.
Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 09/06/2017Sanctuary - Enjoyable course
As usual, the course was in good condition. The foursome that I played with moved very well today as the morning golfers had just finished paving the way for us and the afternoon golfers were sparse today. This is an enjoyable course to play, but always some challenges to make you add a few strokes if you aren't accurate around the greens. They maintain the course well, so there are no issues of note and you should enjoy your round.
Oak Hills Country Club
Played On 08/23/2017Oak Hills - Always a pleasant 9 hole course
Conditions are always good, but hone up on your gentle touch putting as the greens have slants, some hard slants where the ball just rolls and rolls . . . very hard to stop, so be gentle as these greens ad strokes are like rolls on a pool table at times.
Deer Creek Golf Club
Played On 08/18/2017Deer Creek - A Nicely maintained Course
It is always a pleasure to golf here. The course conditions are consistently in good shape. You have sand traps and a few water holes to keep you honest. The 18th hole is always one that gets me as you have a long pond in front and blind to the green. It is a strong poke to clear the water, but I haven't seen anyone successfully clear it. It is a 80 degree right turn to the green. If you try and go left of the water and hit the fairway there is a steep slant right that takes your ball into the water . . . so stay as far left as you can without hitting the sandtrap.
Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course
Played On 08/07/2017Wicker Memorial Golf Course - Nicely Challenging
It has been about 25 years since I last played this course. They have made a number of changes to the course to improve it in that time. The course was in excellent condition. Play moved right along at a nice pace. Greens and fairways were well manicured. There are a couple holes where there are trenches running across the fairway and of course they are within driving distance, so good luck on them. I got lucky and made it over them, but it wasn't pretty (my drives). You will enjoy the course.
Oak Hills Country Club
Played On 07/26/2017Oak Hills - A pleasant 9 hole course
The course is in fine condition and the pace of play is excellent. It is a neat little course with some difficulties. The main difficulty is the very fast slanted greens with some holes where the slant is such that stopping a putt to stay near the hole is a huge challenge, since there are no brakes on a golf ball. Still a very nice course which you wil enjoy.
Carriage Greens Country Club
Played On 07/21/2017Carriage Greens - Unnecessary irritating check-in
If you book your round on Golf Now, prepare to get dressed down verbally at check-in if you do not physically bring your booking verification. The person in charge that day went on a tirade when I did not bring in my confirmation of booking. He lectured me saying "All you Golf Now people fail to bring your required booking confirmations as required". When I started to respond he continued berating me for not having the confirmation with me. He went on to say, "You know I don't have to let you play without your confirmation!" He did let me play. When I went to the starter and gave him my name and start time, he immediately checked it off as I was on his list correctly! So why did that "genius" at check-in make such a fuss since he did have my name and time listed. He is obviously someone who wields his little authority like a baseball bat. It was unnecessary and humiliating as a paid golfer. I hope that others from Golf Now beware if he is there as I am certain this is his normal behavior.
George W Dunne National Golf Course
Played On 07/14/2017George W. Dunne - Beautiful Experience
This was my 1st time playing George Dunne. It is a beautiful course in great condition. Bring your "Lawrence of Arabia Garb" as it has 160 sand traps, so you may be in the desert a lot. I only hit 3 of them, but they are loaded with plentiful amounts of sand making it easy to get out versus other courses that do not restock their traps with ample or any sand. The last two holes are challenging in particular as the 155 yard 17th hole and the 18th par 4 are over water and the chance of going for a swim or hitting a sand trap increase. The staff is great and very welcoming to this beautiful long and prestigious course. You will love it!
Red at Gleneagles Country Club
Played On 07/07/2017Gleneagle - Red Course
I enjoyed playing this course but since it was my first time three weeks ago, I can only remember the course had no issues and was in good condition. I played poor, but that was no reflection on the course, just on my game that day. I was linked with another single and we got along great.
Balmoral Woods Country Club
Played On 07/03/2017Balmoral Woods - A Tough Course
I hadn't played this course in about 25 years. It hasn't changed as it is a difficult course, especially if you are a 19 handicap as I am. Too many holes in my game to score well for 18 holes, although I played poorly on the front nine, I recovered and played more to my handicap on the back nine. It is a challenging course, but I still recommend it to those looking to be challenged.
Deer Creek Golf Club
Played On 06/19/2017Deer Creek - Always in good shape
I have golfed here a number of times and the course conditions are always good. No complaints anytime I have golfed here. I always go alone but have always been paired with other nice golfers like myself. The course is generally reasonably priced so it will not break the bank. I think you will come here regularly for good playing conditions at a reasonable price to boot.
Broken Arrow Golf Club - South/East
Played On 08/22/2016Interesting course
Three nine hole courses. I golfed on the East and North courses. They have their challenges on some holes with narrow fairways and trees. The North course is unusual as each hole has two greens, with one longer than the other (blue flag - longer, red flag - shorter). The only thing I didn't like is that I use a Golf Buddy indicating distances to front, center and back of the green. By playing two greens you have no idea which green you are getting the distance for, so it was a problem guessing distance. The course was in fine condition and it was packed so it took 4 1/2 hours on a Monday.
Carriage Greens Country Club
Played On 08/06/2016Tight fairways and lots of trees
This was the first time I played this course. The back nine is more difficult with some water and tight fairways that can block you in by trees if off right or left of fairway. The course was in good shape overall. The staff is very friendly. It was nice to golf with a family familiar with the course to help avoid some hidden hazards in the fairways. It was a very pleasant round. The course was very busy and it took about 4 1/2 hours on a Saturday, which is normal for a weekend. I recommend the course, but it can be hard to find if you don't enter from off of I-55.
andrewstrigos,

Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 05/30/2016Bring extra balls and expect a challenge
Many of the holes are landscaped to lean toward hazards such as high natural growth and water, so expect to lose some balls that are irretrievable.. You may feel like "Lawrence of Arabia" due to the many strategically placed sand traps that are in reach. The traps do have sand in them, some more than others. The greens in general are quite large. It is a challenging course that will test you with its layout and natural hazards. The course was in excellent condition.
Manteno Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2016Always a pleasant course to play
The greens are cut low but there is little trouble putting as the ate fairly flat and the ball runs true. Lots of trees and some sand traps but they do have sand in them making it easy to get out.
