One of my favorite courses in the Clayton area. Three nines that are completely different and challenging always in great shape. Pace of play was way above average the day I played for a semi- private course. I played my two favorite 9’s - Deer Run to Riverview but the the other nine is just as good. Played 18 holes about 4:10 .

Greens were in excellent condition and the pace of play was excellent. The fairways were in good shape but it could have been a bit better. The members or guests apparently don’t take the bunkers. We called “a rack it place it” rule on the first hole and it was an excellent call based on the holes we saw.

This is probably my favorite course in Raleigh. A little closer or if they were in a larger network and I'd definitely join and become a member. This course dries out better than any course I know of in the Raleigh area, and I've pretty much played them all. The pace of play is usually very good, the greens are really nice and roll true. The could be a bit faster I suspect, but they are consistent and playable. There are driveable par 4's if you so desire and challenge the risks, and there are really long par 4's that have risk reward as well. The par 5's aren't too long but they have risks as well and usually dog leg right/left that makes taking that risk perhaps not so rewarding.

Lochmere is a great course and easy to walk if you're a walker. When playing during the winter with lots of rain - it is a wet course and doesn't drain well when the plants/trees and grass aren't growing. That said, generally the fairways do drain well - and the greens are phenomenal. The day we played (Feb 2022) it had just rained the day before and it was wet in spots on the fairways. The greens were in great shape. Nice, fast and true.

Challenging course that is always in great shape, especially during the summer.

Awesome course that was in great condition except for one or two holes (17/18) which weren''t perfect as were 1-16 but were in overall good shape. Great layout - the greens were amongst the best I've ever seen at a public golf course (Including Pinehurst) and are as good as the ones at Sedgefield where they play the Wyndham Open. My son and I played with another twosome,one who was handicapped - and we still finished in less than 4 hours.

I went with my son on Father's day and we played from the Blue/White Hybrid tees. The course was in excellent shape overall - bunkers were racked but lacked enough sand for a soft shot out of the bunker. Saw the red clay poking out in a few spots. The greens were slow and very grainy, but they were in excellent condition except for that.

This course - from tee to green, was in excellent condition especially considering the wet weather we had had over the past couple of weeks. Best course and course conditions I've played this year, and that includes TPC Wakefield and Kiawah Island Ocean course. The staff must have worked their collective butts off. Great job.

The staff was extremely nice and the clubhouse was setup like a private club - very nice. They don't have a driving range but they do have a practice facility, with nets and mats - which really helps to get you warmed up. The pace was a bit slow - I think we finished in about 5 hours but it was really 2 threesomes in front of us that were slow.
The greens were in fair shape, probably due to the cool weather NC has been experiencing all this winter. Since the rough and fairways are bermuda, they hadn't really started growing but the course was in very nice condition. All in all, this course has a lot of potential and could be one of the hidden gems in NC with a bit more investment.

While this course has a lot of promise, it failed to deliver in a lot of areas. The Good - The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The BAD - The back nine needs to be blown up on a few holes, most notably # 14, # 16, and # 17. We played the blue tees, which are the back tees. #14 your drive needs to be hit so far right to keep it in play - and to the right is a hazard. If you hit the middle of the fairway - which my ball did, I ended up about 3 feet from the OB on the left side. # 16 the fairway slopes from right to left. If you hit too far left - you are in the hazard. Because you see this from the tee box - the tendency is to hit to the right. Trees limbs are hanging over the right side and don't allow an escape. I hit my tee shot on the right side, and I had to hit a low shot to the middle of the fairway, which just kept running to the left and in the hazard. # 17 - if you miss hit your drive by just a few yards, you can be in deep, deep trouble. You can lay back - but since it is a long par 4, about 422 yards, you end up with a long second shot of about 220 yards.
