Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/16/2023Heritage Isles experience
I had moved to the Tampa area about 2 months ago and saw that Heritage Isles is about 5 minutes away from me. It's a nice looking club with golf and tennis facilities. There is a restaurant and pro shop. It's clean and very professional looking. The staff is generally friendly and the cost to play was reasonable. I always keep my expectations low regarding the conditions of a course. My handicap is around 14 and I do expect to play challenging courses to develop my game. Heritage Isles did not disappoint. Beautiful layout. Each hole is well manicured and the pace of play on a Sunday moved quickly. I definitely would recommend playing this course from the blue tees in order to challenge yourself.
South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
Played On 09/04/2021Spanish Wells (9/4/2021)
So much rain that they closed the North course and the South course had just been aerated. That left us the East Course with some of the craziest hole layouts. But it was is solid condition with very little water. This is a course with some tight fairways, tricky doglegs and lots of blond holes. Play with a member to learn about it. Greens were moving fast and the pace of play early Saturday morning was fast! I like this place.
Always a pleasure to play Raptor Bay
Always on my list if top10 in Florida! Staff is friendly and available. Course is in great condition. The course layout is challenging for most golfers. Love to play here!
Hi, alecaquino. Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Raptor Bay Golf Club.
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 11/07/2020Time for a change
Only played this course because of the low cost. Greens were in poor condition. Same with tee boxes. Fairways don’t look like they have adequate drainage systems. This place feels like a bunch of teenage boys have a clubhouse and they just want to hang out and not take care of the course. Overall, poor course maintenance and management.
Hello, alecaquino. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future. Thanks for choosing Majestic Golf Club.
Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club
Played On 09/09/2018Old fashioned course in Naples
Glen Eagle is like a place that I used to play up north in NJ. Tight faiways, doglegs and short distances. Really makes you think about each shot. The greens and fairways are in terrific condition. Putting is not that easy as there are slight undulations that make the reads challenging. You get to use your middle irons a lot here due to the shortness of the fairways. Overall, I like this place. Keeps my short game in tune!
Good to be back playing after a hurricane!
I haven't played since Hurricane Irma had hit SW Florida. Rhythm and timing were off early on but started to get back my groove and finished strong. Course was in excellent condition. Hole #16 had a lot of cut up trees in front of the tee box to the right. Just be careful. Otherwise no water on the course (it had rained the day before) and the greens ran true. The weather was sunny and breezy and felt terrific! A great day of golf! One exception: Avoid the snack bar, they did overcharge for me for a hot dog, chips and drink. When my partner addressed it to the lady behind the counter, she ignored him. Not nice!
Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course
Played On 08/19/2017Lely - August 19, 2017
Early morning start and the sun was starting to come out. It was warm and there was some moisture on the grass. 4 of us teed off and began a really nice day of golf. The fairways and bunkers were in solid condition. And the layout, as always, was challenging. The one drawback were the greens. Many patches, dirt spots and sand everywhere. I understand that they went through an aerification of the greens within the last month or so. Otherwise, it was a very good day for golf.
Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course

Playing at Lely, on the Mustang course, you would have such high expectations. And this course provides those lofty goals! This course is challenging without being like the US Open. It is elegant in its' appearance. And it is such a great deal in the summertime when the snowbirds decide to migrate back north. You have to play the course to understand what I mean. Just play it!
Beautiful day at Raptor Bay
The weather was sunny and warm with a light breeze. The course had undergone an aerification process and the rates were lower than usual. So the greens were bumpy, sandy and had to predict. However, the rest of the course was in beautiful condition. Green grass, smooth surfaces, no brown patches would be some of the descriptors I would of used for the course. If you can hit straight at least 85% of the time, you were on the green. The course is challenging but enjoyable not frustrating. Check it out while the prices are competitive!
The Club At Westminster
Played On 04/30/2016Good looking course in Lehigh Acres
Westminster GC is in a gated community within Lehigh Acres. Make sure to ask the guard at the gate where the clubhouse is located as there are no signs the entrance. Nonetheless, the clubhouse, carts, amenities and the golf course are really presented nicely. Front 9 seems to be more challenging than the back nine with some narrow fairways. There are some holes that have a lot of bunkers so keep your eye out for them. The putting greens were a disappointment because they were, as my friend said "furry". They were a little high and the ball was grabbing not rolling. Hopefully, they will shave them down a little more. Overall, the staff was friendly and gracious. They had an outing so there was no food to be served in the clubhouse but I'm sure it must be good. I will play here again, especially for under $40. Thanks Westminster!
Palmetto-Pine Country Club
Played On 01/09/2016Good times at Palmetto Pines
We had an early tee time (7:14am) and there was a fog but you could still see. The grass looked good. The greens were fast despite the amount of moisture on them. Overall the course was playing nicely and looking good. The pace of play early on was quick but not rushed. I was able to get into a nice tempo. Everything went well for me on this visit and I look forward to coming back. Hopefully the price will be good. Good times!
Thank for the great review! We're so glad you enjoyed your time at PPCC and we hope to see you again!
Stoneybrook Golf Club
Played On 08/01/2015Stoneybrook surprise!
The weather has been pretty severe for the last week and a half! Too much rain! I thought the Stoneybrook course would of been still soggy but I wanted to play after 2 weeks off. Surprise! Course was in great condition. The weather was sunny with a few clouds. Temperatures were moderate. This was my first time playing Stoneybrook. I did not know what to expect. Let me tell you, this was a good time! The tee boxes were set up well, firm and flat. The fairways looked to have been cut recently and with all of the rain, they were in great shape. There are a lot of bunkers and the back nine had plenty of water coming into play. The one challenge for me were the greens. They had multiple levels, undulating rolls and narrow sizes. You have to be very accurate on your 2nd or 3rd shot to score. It was a good test of your short game. The staff were accommodating and very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Stoneybrook!
Sanibel Island Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2015Didn't know there was a golf course in there!
Hidden away in the middle of Sanibel Island is the Sanibel Island Golf Club. I did not know there was even a course in there. I had played the other course (The Dunes) but had not heard about Sanibel until I saw it listed on the GolfNow site. They are undergoing some repairs to the tee boxes and they do not have all of the amenities that other courses offer (driving range). However, the course is challenging, fairways are tight and the greens have some undulation to them. There are many trees and plants surrounding the holes and you have to be very accurate or layup on many of the holes. My friend and I enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone. It's not as easy as it may look!
Hi alecaquino,
We are so glad that you played with us! We love having new golfers to the course. We are so glad to hear you liked the course and found it fun and challenging!
We hope to see you back soon! Remember, we offer the our best rates online.

Arrowhead Golf Course
Played On 06/20/2015Hiddedn gem in Naples
First time at Arrowhead. Kind of hidden away in a community setting. From the parking lot attendant to the starter, the service was prompt, efficient and friendly. I had a hot dog after 9 holes and it was delicious! The overall condition of the fairways and greens were fantastic despite 94 degree weather. The course plays short but the course is challenging with bunkers, tight fairways and smallish greens. This was a satisfying round of golf and I will be back!
Bonita National Golf & Country Club
Played On 05/09/2015Links golf meets Bonita National!
Saturday morning at Bonita National. Beautiful day. Good company. Decent rates. Links golf . . . Now, I have played on courses similar to the courses you see in England. They have rolling fairways, large greens, bunkers scattered everywhere. All Bonita National needs is the high grass and winds! But, not to make light of the situation, the course was well maintained. Greens were true and quick. Please realize that there is a lot of construction going around the course and even the course is not complete. However, the tee boxes and fairways are set and in great shape. Everything is organized and easy to follow. They do need to plant a coupe of trees strategically to make this an even more challenging course. But the value is good, the course is good and you will find this to be a pleasant playing experience. Just don't look for a clubhouse, restrooms, snack bar or any other amenities you may be used to. Remember there is a lot of construction going on!
For March, a good overall value to be had
For those who live in SW Florida, we all know that the cost of golf goes up significantly during the months of November through April. And to be able to play a round of golf on a Sunday for under $60 is a good deal. The course design is forgiving, the quality of the fairways and greens could use a little more care. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The food is below average, nothing to talk about. So, if you want to play and have a little challenge to your golf game, I would go to Copperhead.
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 02/01/2015For duffers only
This is a very informal course. It's not a bad design but the course is chopped up, the tee boxes are uneven and ripped up and the greens need to be seeded. It plays tight but not too long. The staff was very friendly but a little too accommodating to their friends. Still, it was a good round of golf with good friends. I may return.
GReat to hear you had godd customer service from the staff. Come back soon
