Extremely slow play on weekday afternoon

A lot of begginners play at the course. It wasn’t enjoyable to play since we had to wait for a while to hit every shot. They should have a ranger who keep good pace of play.
The course becomes boring especially last 4 holes which include two par 3. The conditions of bunkers are pretty bad with hard sand. It denotes not worth for the money. We will not go back again.

Good layout

We took advantage of golfnow.com deal. Two hour's driving was worth it. We enjoy the windy day round. We especially liked the layout which I thought it was fair and enjoyable. Except for a few short par 4s, you feel fairways are wide open from the tee. you can enjoy hitting your drivers. But There are many water hazard and sand traps well protecting greens. You have to be accurate on your 2nd shots. You definitely feel the ocean wind. But It will not get crazy since holes are surround by trees after a couple of holes. I heard greens were aerated a month a go. a few weeks later would be a better condition. Overall we enjoyed our round. We will come back again.

Beautiful Challenging Course. Bring many balls

Alaqua GC is surrounded by beautiful houses but it does not make you feel cluttered at all. We started our round very early morning by taking advantage of its early bird special deal. There was a construction going on in front of the club house and the part of #10 hole. Otherwise, the green and fairway conditions are great. Fairways are narrow with many water hazards. In many holes you need to go over the water on your 2nd shot. The course requires accurate tee shots. Like me, you might expect to loose many balls. We played at many courses in Orlando area such as Disney, Grand Cypress, and Mission Inn El Campeon. Alaqua is as good as they are. I highly recommend it.

Classic design well maintained

It was our first time to play at Seaview. We paid $25 on hot deal. The golf course was overall in very good condition despite that it is in December. Greens and fairways are well maintained. Course layout is old classic style with relatively short distance and small greens. The crown greens make challenging to keep the ball on the green. Some of par 4s are short but require accuracy off the tee. Par 3s are long and challenging considering total distance. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.
