So much potential, just not yet realized

I want to love this course. I thoroughly enjoy the layout and the need for quality ballstriking and shotmaking. The greens are soft but still fairly quick. But there are just so many bare patches and places where the turf has just not been maintained well. And the greens have just been decimated with unrepaired ball marks, to the point it looks like the surface of the moon. And God help you on the cart paths, which are basically the equivalent of driving through a war-torn village...

Punished for good shots

The layout has potential (blind tee shots notwithstanding) but the extremely poor conditions of the course made it almost unplayable. The rough was more forgiving than the fairway... at least there's some grass! And the greens were just awful. Patchy, bumpy, and completely impossible to do more than just get it close on your lags. Not a single putt rolled true. $22 is the absolutely max I would pay for this course and that might be overpaying a little... For another $10, you can play a dozen courses in the area that are 5x the quality. Skip this one.

Greg, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, however, we are truly sorry to hear your recent experience with us did not meet our usual expectations. Your feedback has been shared with our staff as we are on a path towards course improvements. Everyone under the new Management and ownership at Falls Village Golf Club are very aware of the challenges that have been created over the last few years on the golf course. Our greens have bounced back nicely, although we have 5 greens in particular that have continued to show signs of stress and our fairways and rough are starting to grow in with the warmer weather. We are currently in conversation with agronomy experts within our new company who are formulating a long-term plan which will potentially include rebuilding the greens, bunkers, and other areas at the club. Please be patient while we support our superintendent in giving him and his crew the resources to keep the golf course enjoyable and playable. If you have any further comments or questions, please contact John Montgomery, PGA Head Golf Professional at Falls Village at jmontgomery@fallsvillagegolfclub.com.
