Course was in good shape for this time of year. Pace of play was pretty rough with a few very slow groups in front of us and a single that got sent off behind us (not sure why a single was sent off at 9am on a Sunday). All in all a 4ish hour round on a Sunday isn’t that extreme. Course had a good layout with a lot of open tee shots that would be good for all levels. I’ll play here again.

We try and play here with a few guys once a week. The value in the afternoon is incredible, and with the condition of the course there aren't many values like this around Tampa. The greens are in great condition and rolling true. The only problems I ever have here can be pace of play, but that's to be expected with stacked up 4-somes of various skill.

We will keep playing every week as long as the course keeps up the condition.

Played this course for the first time in years a month ago and was impressed with the course condition and value. Went out again today with a friend and was very surprised at the course condition. Not sure if the aeration caused it but the greens were almost 50% bald on some greens. Hopefully they can get the greens back over the summer, because the layout and value are good. Carts have ball washers and club cleaners attached as well as USB charger. And staff is accommodating. Course looks great to the eye even with the rough greens.

One thing I would recommend is that if you have bald spots on greens, move the hole to a cleaner area. Some holes were cut in the middle of bald areas.

I’ll be back to the course and hopefully the team there will get the course back into good condition.

Had a great time at The Groves. Its a fun little executive course. The day we played the greens had been sanded, but still rolled alright. I really enjoy the layout as it makes you hit targets with irons off the tee. If you are looking for a quick round and some chances at eagles its a good course to try out.
