Buffalo Creek Golf Course

Where do I start? The starter takes your ticket and disappears. Golfers are left to determine who tees off and when. The rough on the golf course is ridiculous. I lost 4 balls in rough 10 feet off the fairway. The greens are slow and burned outbon some holes. No rangers on the course to monitor pace of play. The foursome in front of us fell THREE holes behind the group in front of them. Did they let us play through? Nope. There is no beverage cart on the course. Just an awful experience and will not be going back.
Lansbrook Golf Club

I enjoy playing at Lansbrook and do quite often. The greens are always in great shape. The only criticism that I have is related to the fairways. Some of them are bare and I was hitting off of hard pan. I do not think that they have a great drainage system. I think that is the reason for the bare spots in the fairways. Very nice course otherwise.
With 38" of rain this summer, it's been challenging to keep up with the rough. Our last aerification revealed some additional issue with drainage in an aging system causing the greens to become stressed and appear burned. This is being addressed. With multiple levels of player ability seen at public facilities, etiquette seems to be lacking. There is beverage service in the snack bar from 9am to 5pm.
