Pros. The greens. Pace of play. Quiet. The two par 3s
Cons: mundane layout

Overall the course conditions were excellent. Wet in spots but that was because it rained a lot prior. So really drained well. The layout is with some fun holes and some spectacular holes 7-9 & 12-16. The bad spot on the course are #1 and #10 where too often players are in the wrong fairway or hole. The par 3s #s 2, 6 and 11 are mediocre. Personally, I'm not a fan of courses lined with houses like Highfields. During the summer the greens are in better shape than when we played today (post aeration and not cut or rolled).

A little 9 hole - feels like an upscale municipal course. Friendly staff. Greens were exceptional - smooth and fast. The layout has a few easy holes and a few difficult holes. Gas carts. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a 9 hole track.

The pace of play here was horrendous. They have too many beginner golfers. We waited on every shot. Let's start with hole #2 when the ranger decided to drive over near my while I hit my approach shot. Then we waited on the tee at the par 3 3rd hole. As my playing partner was putting (her second shot) from the fringe, the ranger drove over and asked us to speed up play. The group in from of us was still on the next tee. We waited on the 4th tee for atleast 8 minutes. The worse wait was on the par 3 6th hole. 2 groups on the tee box. The 9th hole, some moron playing the 5th was wondering around in our fairway as we waited to tee off. took over 2.5 hours for 9 on a short course. Course conditions were average. Staff friendliness sucks. The guy in the pro shop was grumpy too.

The greens are fast but smooth. Overall conditions are very good. The par 3 #12 green was extremely fast. None of our balls stayed on the green. The slope and speed were too severe that we didn't finish the hole.

We stayed in the Club House suite. Good accommodations. And convenient to the course. I wanted to make a tee time for 8-8:30 so we’d have time to play the 2nd 18. I was told first tee time was 9am because of frost delays. There were no frost delays and tried to get out early. We got out at 8:50. Finished at 1:20. 4.5 hours. You cannot make a tee time for the 2nd 18. We were able to get out at 1:30 and that round was going to be 5 hours plus. Never finished.

I don’t know why but they’ve lost most of their greens and some of the tee boxes. Poor conditions all around. It’s really too bad. Hope they can figure things out for next year!

The only low part of the the rating is staff unfriendlyness. I like to arrive early but I’m this case with a hour hour drive and not allowing enough time I arrived at the first tee ready to go right at my 11:12 tee time after checking in. The starter chose to be very UNaccomodating. Telling me that these guys(I didn’t know who he was referring to) are behind you. Now why would he say that? Our tee time was 11:12 and my playing partner had already hit and it was now 11:13 as I was hitting. Turns out by the 5th hole that group was 2-3 holes behind. We played the front bone in 1.5 hours. The course conditions - tees, fairways, greens, fringe, aprons etc were immaculate. Kudos to the grounds keeper! I’d go back even though they have a miserable starter.

I would go back. Because of the value and for the design/layout. The course conditions were average. The back 9 has a few holes that are beautiful. A good mix of easy and difficult holes.

The greens were perfect and very fast. I was getting a really true roll. $16th green was very difficult. The course layout is excellent. The course conditions were average. One hole was under construction. I did not know until I got to the back 9 and saw the construction.

The greens were perfect. fast and smooth. The overall conditions of the course was average. This is a good layout - fun track. There is one hole under construction. I did not know until I was on the course. I went there because there was no golf open in Massachusetts. I played Norwich about 15-20 years ago and the conditions were better then.

Feeling fortunate to play 18 on a good course during the COVID-19 crisis. Greens were good. Fun track to play.

The greens have to be the highlight at Norwich Golf Club. The were fast and smooth and challenging. Not a long course. The 15th is under construction and not being played. For the price I paid it was a good deal.

Greens were perfect. Some leaves but not too bad. Pace of play was good because of the weather; mid 40s. So not much play. Gas carts are adequate. Course conditions were good. Overall great value.

Everything about this country club is good. Awesome!

Greens were perfect. Overall the course is in very good condition. Pace was a bit slow. Carts are old. Good length with Blue tees at 7,000 and white tees playing 6700!

It was great to see Mark. I knew him from 25 years ago.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The ranger/starter, Skip, was awesome too. Beautiful clubhouse. Good practice facilities. Every hole was a good challenge. Excellent layout/design. very good conditions. Whoever wrote that the greens were bad was way off. The greens were in great condition, except for one hole, - #14 - had a couple a couple of rough spots. Bunkers are very good. No complaints!. Great day.

The three things i took away from this day of golf were 1. how perfect the greens were. 2. How well landscaped and decorated the course was (for Halloween) 3. WHat a challenge the course was. The greens were rolling so pure and fast. They were really fast! but just perfect. There was so much added color with flower beds. They decorated for Halloween. On every hole and in between they had lots of Halloween decorations very tastfully done . Very fun and interesting. There isn;t a flat lie out here. With the wind and elevation changes, makes for a real challenge!
