Although the morning started out quite cold, it did warm up and the course was in good shape. They had recently aeriated the greens, which we were aware of prior to booking. We got a great rate on golfnow that made it worth the trip. The scenery in this part of the state is quite exceptional this time of year as well. The fifth green is backdropped by the ohio river and an abundance of multicolor trees.

The course is always in great shape. There was a starter and appeared to be a ranger around somewhere. My twosome (which I understand isn't preferred) was stuck behind 5 foursomes playing about as slow as humanly possible. All four players would ride to each others ball and "watch" every shot and ignore the simplest of rules of pace of play etiquette. I probably won't return.

Course set-up/layout is very nice, but the conditions of the fairways and greens left A LOT to be desired. It appears as if they simply "bit off more than they can chew" to keep up with maintenance.

Course staff was very friendly. We needed to change our tee time and were able to do so. We had a group of three, teed off at 11:57 for an 11:44 tee time, finished at 5:05. Miserably slow!! Will probably consider never playing here again for this reason alone. To make it worse, the course was in as bad of shape as I've ever seen it. That must be why they're changing the name. Course needs work. Marshall's need to enforce slow play rules. Some holes took 30 minutes. Sad for a once wonderful setup.
