The Links At Bodega Harbour
Played On 10/23/2016Some very cool holes and elevation changes at this course
Beautiful course, unbelievable ocean views. Front 9 can be tough, need to have a strong iron game out here. Course was in great shape. Only SLIGHT knock I have is that in a few places the greens were a little bumpy.

IMO all you need to know from a review: how are the greens, course condition and is it challenging.
Don't read the last guys review about dry fairways and such.
For the end of a summer with no rain, the fairways were plenty lush. The greens were in good shape and for a public course, this is a fun challenge. I play here often so I can tell you that the course is in good shape. Bunker sand was consistent, Tee boxes were great. On a few holes the fairway was a little thick, but like I said they were lush and for a course that was very dry over last 4 years from drought, it's in great condition. You'll def. enjoy your round out here.
Lincoln Park Golf Course
Played On 08/04/2016Very Short, Very Easy Course
Only 1 par 5. Several par 4's are less then 300 yds. but this course is still fun because it requires you to hit a good iron tee shot and 2nd shot. However, you'll rarely ever have more than a pitching wedge in with your approach shot.
Greens were slow and bumpy in some spots, which stinks because when you stoke a good putt you aren't really rewarded.
Challenging par 3's with 3 of them over 200 yards. In fact 16 and 17 are 230+ yards from the Blue Tees.
A few tee boxes were poorly maintained, 18 was terrible and 2 was sloping.
They just got about 15 new golf carts, which they needed desperately - their old lawnmowers were cool in that they didn't have governors but let's just say the alignment was off a bit with those puppies.
Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course
Played On 06/26/2016Short Course - Lots of Elevation - Pretty Good Value
Short course (three or four 300 yd. or less par 4's). Two or three longer par 3's (180 yd. + from the Blue)
Almost every hole is from an elevated tee box - makes for some very fun driving holes. Has a par 3 where your shot drops about 150 ft.+ which is definitely an interesting shot to say the least.
The Greens are basically all flat, which makes for a pretty boring putting round.
Fairway was green in some spots, but poor in others. Pretty good value all things considered.

Played On 04/17/2016Great Value for the Average Golfer
The course was great as far as fairways and greens. Rough wasn't cut very well and only thing I'll say is the sand traps were poorly maintained. Was like hitting off hard dirt.
As long as you stay in the fairway and out of the bunkers, you'll love this course for the price.
After this round, I made the decision that since I only get so many days to go and play golf, I'm going to play well maintained courses. It's worth the extra $20-$30 bucks to me to play a "true" course
Gleneagles Golf Course at McLaren Park
Played On 09/06/2015This is a Neighborhood Track
In maybe the roughest part of the city, so perhaps a little intimidating to some driving in haha (myself included :) but once you're out there on the course you'll be fine. They don't have much of a budget for water, as the city upped the water bill by 40% a year ago ---- So the only part of the holes that get any real love are the greens for the most part, which are in good shape surprisingly (fast, hard packed).
If we get some rain, this place will be a GEM - believe me! But to be frank, I'd say until then, you might want to find alternatives unless you're ok with hitting off a hard pan.
I REALLY WANT TO EMPHASIZE that this course has all the potential in the world though. If we get some rain, you NEED to try this place out, I'm telling ya! If we get some rain this winter (PLEASE GOD) you bet I'll be back to play this course for four reasons:
1) Fair Price
2) Above Average Greens
3) Some Really Nice Dog Leg/Hole Setups
4) Good Challenge/Exercise
HISTORIC DROUGHT CONDITIONS. REVIEW OUTDATED. VERY.
btw, to add to my review the guy who said the fairways were dry is a 20-24 handicapper. Just saying.... lol
