Kempsville Greens Golf Course
Played On 05/25/2014a tight finesse-shot type public course
Kempsville Greens is a course that will get you if you try to over power it, place the shot properly for a good scoring round. The course is well used and quite public
Owl's Creek Family Golf Center
Played On 01/20/2014build condos on this piece of land
Pro shop is virtually nonexistent, no merchandise, no food or beverages........
I first played this course in the early 90's, then it was a wonder place to work out kinks in a short game. It has gone from that to a waste of a good piece of property in VaBeach. Sand in the traps need to be mowed!! Greens are pitted, not just unrepaired ball marks, there are pits in the putting surface. Zero drainage, terrible on wet days. This land would be better served with nice condos built on it.
Virginia Beach National Golf Club

Course was quite wet but in good condition for this time of year. Quite the challenge!
Lake Wright Golf Course
Played On 10/26/2013good value on a mature course for a Saturday
No real waiting on any part of the course for a mid-day weekend tee time
Cypress Point Country Club
Played On 10/20/2013could have used a course marshall to provide golf etiquette lessons
2nd time to play Cypress Point in Virginia Beach, the course itself, I'd play it everyday!! In good condition, a challenge, a terrific round of golf both times I've been there. The 4-some of golfing-course-member-residents we followed on our round could use the full course on golf etiquette!!! Ball mark repair, racking sand, rate/speed of play, courtesy, and there are no 3 mulligan tee shots!! Frustrating group to follow with no course marshall in sight.
Honey Bee Golf Club
Played On 09/22/2013Honey Bee is in terrific condition & as challenging as ever!!
It had been several years since we'd been on Honey Bee, we feared the recent rains would have made things soupy. Not so! Obviously there has been great attention paid to past drainage/standing water issues. Well pleased with our entire golf experience at Honey Bee in Virginia Beach! !
