Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club

I have played all the courses in SWFL and this is right up there with some of the best layouts. I had a great time. I went to the course by myself, but everyone was welcoming and friendly from the course staff to my playing partners. Thank God courses like this one exist with 4.5/5 star quality at reasonable $20 price. Will definitely be back again!

Every time I play this course they treat you like family. Not only is this rare at any golf course, it is especially rare at a busy 5 star facility such as Riverwood. The starter is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. The rangers are genuine and care about pace of play. The cashier attendant is prompt.
Now to the best part, the course itself. From the tips it stretches over 7,000 yards. I find it a completely different course when I play from the tips compared to the blue or white tees. That's the best part though. If you want to work on your short game, then play the white tees and you'll have shorter shots into par 4s and the par 5s will be reachable. If you want to focus on gearing up for a tour level course, play it from the tips. While it isn't the longest course at 7,000 yards from the tips, I average 300 off the tee and it's plenty challenging. There is water on majority of the holes. Further, there are many OB areas and tricky winding holes. A true golfer's paradise.

I was greeted by the cashier with "Golf now needs to stop scheduling singles at our course." Obviously they should stop doing business with golf now if they are against single golfers playing there. Further, I ended up playing with another guy, and we were almost hit by a ball on a par 3 of 175 yards. Literally another player hit a ball at us from the tee while we were putting on the green. The ranger didn't even kick the guy off the course, he simply said "Well he apologized." There is no apology for hitting up on someone on a par 3. Completely a joke. That's what this course is.
