The Sands is a great short cours and perfect for working on your irons or a leisurely round with the wife.

The course is nice and the pace of play is good but the greens while the looked nice were incredibly slow probably the slowest I’ve ever played and I’m from Alaska where we have notoriously slow greens. I could not hit the ball hard enough to get it to the hole. The greens will cost an easy 5 - 10 strokes.

We had a 6:10 AM tee time and pretty much had the course to ourselves going out that early. Everything about this course was outstanding!! The greens and fairways were perfect. It had just the right mix of challenging and forgiving. The only knock I can think of is on a couple tee boxes we had a herd time finding flat ground but for the most part the tee boxes were very good.
We will definitely play here again and at about the same time of day.. Absolutely worth the early morning drive from the city.. about 45 minutes from SanFran with no traffic!!

I played Rattler and Roadrunner and both were in excellent condition. The layout is great and you can’t beat the views.

Quail Canyon is so bad it is almost not even a golf course!
However , while the greens are really bad they are very small and great for getting your Irons dialed in. If you can hit these greens you can hit any greens. Another positive is that there is almost never anyone else there you can hit two or three tee shots at each hole if you would like!! It’s also great to bring new golfers without the pressure to hurry along.

I only played the back nine but it was well maintained and fun the play was quick and the price was right. The greens were in great condition and the fairways were above average. However, the fairways are very narrow so hit em straight.

Probably the worst course I have played in California. The Greens were OK, but the fairways were terrible lots of bare patches and big clumps of grass. alot of bad lies in the middle of the fairway. They are trying to pull it off as an exclusive resort type course and they do it well until you actually start to golf. Great facilities horrible golf course.

Medowlark is a nicely maintained fairly short course. The fairways are in great shape and good tee shots are rewarded with good lies. The greens a nice and well maintained but a little small. The clubhouse is nice and the staff friendly. The only negative is the slow pace of play both times i have played here i was stuck behind five somes. However I would recommend this course to anyone just plan on a five+ hour round take your time and enjoy yourself. Also make sure you get a Hotdog off the grill at the turn. Best course dogs around.
